I wish Poly would adopt the same phone/txt message system Coyote has...so cool not to have to talk to a broker after the initial info call...

Ok, now you're getting closer to some real fuel numbers. You say only 201 gallons...brother you're going to be on the side of the road somewhere if you run one much lower than you did. Don't get caught up in the moment. You been trucking long enough to know you stretched it enough. Glad you didn't have to go another 140ish miles because I'm betting you wouldn't have made it. No way of knowing exactly where the pick up line is on that truck but they are all pretty close to the same. If ever you actually do run out(which I'm guessing you never will) hit me up with the actual miles you made it before she quit. Just know the Primer button on most of these trucks is right on top of the fuel filter that's just above your driver's side steer tire. Take care out there. :)

Well, it is that time of year again. Time for the Snackbar grasias to our military folks. I did this on the Crete thread every year I was there...coming to Poly doesn't change the way I feel about Memorial Day. So....

Happy Memorial Day(a day early I know...but just in case another phone dies...better safe than sorry). It is a shame this country that is such a great place to live because of the sacrifices made by our fighting men and women, only sets aside 1 day a year to officially honor the fallen heros. If you are home or doing some steaks and burgers out on the road, take a moment to be greatful for those that stepped up and gave all to make this nation great and to make sure we have the freedoms that we do. When you're out shopping taking advantage of the sales that modern America has during this time of year, remember, if it weren't for our fallen, we wouldn't have the freedoms and rights to choose...so take some of that savings and maybe donate it to a worthy charity that benefits our miltary folks...

A hearty Thank You to our military and to the families of those that gave all to keep us safe and free!!

I still have one of the older 34##'s...if I am not mistaken, they have 2 125's...I have, in the past, pushed it until the gauge stopped moving...and still only put 218 in it...I hate to push it that close because there is no telling how much crud is down there, but sometimes things don't work out like they're planned..but I won't push it that far if I am in the hills

Ok, I know this is a trucking forum, but since many of us are using updated technology...I have give a shout out to the dev's at FoxFi. They busted their collective butts and got their tether app to work with Android's KitKat....so I am typing this from my tablet bouncing off my Dyson Data Vortex...aka my Note 3, that was updated to KitKat after I found out I can now use my FoxFi with it. if you have a newer android and use FoxFi...and are getting the system update message, but have been avoiding the update...check FoxFi's list of phones to see if yours is one of the many that now work with KitKat...not all do. These people are amazing...I only wish I was that smart...

Just a word of advice...be confident that it WILL work out and it will. The mind will only allow you to be successful if you consciously allow it to happen. Think positive...the tough part is over.

Good luck! Like it's been said, the hard part is over. I was nervous over the face to face, but not a huge deal. The advice I was given on here was very helpful. Ask them any questions you can thing of. They'll answer them.

LRW I have put in 243 gallons after I thought I had 300 gallon capacity instead of 250. Never going to get to that point again.

Enjoying the down time at home. Lots of good eating and getting the mind back in a peaceful state.

Wow! I wouldn't have ever guessed you could run one of these ProStars that low. I know they have 250 gallon capacity but also know that most set-ups won't let the truck burn the last 20 to 25 gallons. Most I have ever put in was 210 gallons and I had ran with the fuel light on for a while. There are routes out here where our fuel stops aren't close enough together. I went west out of Cottage Grove on a multi-stop load requiring me to make two stops around Pierre,SD. Since I wasn't down on 90 and zig-zagged around the state I thought I was going to run out of fuel by the time I made it to Billings,MT. There needs to be a fuel stop for us in Rapid City. Anyways, sounds like you are enjoying your time off. Thanks for the info. on the fuel. I usually never let mine get very low. Never ran one out and don't like to take those chances. It's still nice to know how low one can go. Take care and enjoy the rest of your time off. :)
