Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

I am not one to street park, especially in that area. I am also one that avoids rest area or Wally's for a break unless I am totally out of other options...so, I used my hotels4truckers discount code, and spending another night in a motel..the same motel. Gives me a chance to pull up my new grandson's pictures on a bigger screen than my phone or tablet...thank God he looks like his mama

Headed to Poltex picking up a GP load...sometimes even a careless squirrel finds a nut.

 

Might have run into a problem for on time delivery tomorrow morning. Sitting at the TA in Arkansas right before the construction. Has been a accident in the construction. This was a very tight run to begin with. Going to take my 10 here. Saves me from the 30 minute break and the long detour around this mess. Would hope traffic thru their will be better at 2am.

As I was scaling my empty in Pol-tex, outbound calls. They had a choice for me, most of which were Thursday or Friday loads...AR, KC...etc...etc...etc. and an "oh, we have a transfer to Up North....that is ready now". So guess where I am headed...yep, MN again. Plus I am on Fridays board out of there. I will get there and get my paperwork turned in which will put me in the low 12k's for the month. It still doesn't feel like I've been running that hard. I mean, it was a leisurely drive to Houston out of MI. A day and a half wait to unload, then a wait for a load because I don't know how to read a calender, but still managed good miles.

 

Outbound called with my home load. Scheduled out for 9am tomorrow. 6 stops. Starting at Palestine,TX and finishing in Ft. Pierce, FL. All Walmart's. Not a bad run at all.

 

it is tricky to get the Opelousas - Brookhaven and the miles to Alachua all in the same day. When I had that load, Opelousas held me up 30 extra minutes which made me late for Brookhaven...Brookhaven worked me in which made me late for Alachua and Brooksville the next day...they need Palestine and Opelousas to deliver the same day then if there is time, you can make it to Brookhaven before taking a break.

 

Sounds like it might be a interesting load. First drop is not till Saturday. 130 miles away, so I might be in GP most of the day tomorrow.

 

Outbound made me very nervous today. When they put me on this load to UPN yesterday, they put me on Fridays board up there. So, I expected a call from them sometime today...tick-tock-tick-tock. At 16:55 the phone rings...outbound calling. They had a bunch of freight to move up there...multi-stop to Bend, OR...multi-stop to Sparks...multi-stop to MA...multi-stop to NY (state, not city) and the one I picked...a multi-stop Mooresville, NC and Thunderbolt, GA. All M&P's. My wife's family is having their annual reunion on the 14th, and she wants me to be there in case times turn sad when they start talking about her dad...plus...my MIL is taking the rest of the month and going to her sisters in Pensacola...so we'll have the house all to ourselves, that is unless my daughter needs to stay with us while she recuperates...so, the west coast is out until next time...darn...with the way my luck was going, I would have loved to have won a few bucks at the casino's. ..
