Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

Im in ssb same wagon... LeBron had to many haters and Cleveland obviously sucks. How many 1st round picks have they gotten since LeBron and still cant make it to the playoffs. Poor management.

 

Well rolled back out of the house yesterday morning after 8 days at home. Sitting at GP now after dropping a 900 load here. Heading out in the morning back up to Bloomington for a Friday delivery and then hopefully something good out of Cottage Grove. The old truck is running smooth and the APU is blowing cold air so hopefully no problems there for a while.

Decided to tell the bankers to go to hell after waiting over two months for some closure on the Arkansas place. The wife and I decided to pack our #### up and head to Vegas She will have a much easier time there finding a decent job in her field and it will allow me to be home more often so hopefully a win for all. Now all I have to do is get to LV and find a house to rent in early July and then get back to NC to pack up the stuff and roll westward.

 

Truck won't be ready till Tuesday. So I'm renting a car to drive home so I can attend the wedding. Then I'll drive back. $201.59 for a weekly rental at Enterprise with unlimited mileage. Only drawback is I have to wait till Friday to get the car. I could get one as early as tomorrow (Thursday) from Hertz, but it would cost almost $450. Driver supervisor said he could get another driver to pick me up and get me back to TX, but we both agreed it would be a crap shoot, at best, on getting me back to Sioux Falls,SD in a timely manner. So he agreed to pay the hotel bill till I could get a rental car. Sucks there is no breakdown pay, but that's why I budget, and I knew this was always a possibility when I took the job. So.......no whining here, just information dissemination.

 

with the cost of gas on top of the rental charge, wouldn't an airplane ride be as cheap...and a whole lot faster?

 

Hey have anyone dropped at tuesday morning in farmers branch.. is it possible theyll take the trailer on sunday?

 

A round trip flight is $740 before fees/taxes.

 

I have, twice, but don't recall the hours for Sunday.

 

Right now I'm getting home every 4 to 7 weeks. I'm hoping for every 3 to 4 weeks. Yeah, I read the thread, but I still worry about it. One company kept me back east for weeks and wouldn't let me come home. Bad experiences.

 

Geeeeez. Too bad the truck couldn't have warned you sooner so you could make advanced reservations...

 

Geeeeez, too bad that Poly is just another junk OTR company. The only exception is that they pay for all miles driven. What happened to this industry?
