I believe effy SW is a DC not a store. Once you back in, they make you wait inside while unloading. They sent me to mundelin going back up north last time I did that run.

I applied with Poly a couple of weeks ago. I'm flying to GP Monday for an interview with the HR manager Tuesday. Supposed to do physical first and then shuttle to office for interview. Hope all goes well.

I saw one of you guys at the WalMart DC in Grantsville, UT this morning, forget the truck number. He looked like he was on the phone the whole time, so I didn't bug him.

Ga is where I live ,
Polys keeping me busy , also I am good at never running out of hours .
One guy there at GP suggested I view it as if I am an owner op.
Its up to me to keep myself going.
i seem to always have a solid 9 or so available each day.
    i don't believe in 34's
Also I'm still trying to fine tune some of my routes , Poly fuels in some really odd places.
im creating a strategic routing map for myself :)

Thanks, that explains a lot. Before I headed to UPN I google map searched Sherwin Williams in Effingham and the 1st thing it found was a store...and for some silly reason I didn't pull up the results list to see that there was a D/C there too. Now that I have the address, I see why Majestyk was suggesting the Petro.

They sent me to Edwardsville, IL to pick up about 1000 pounds of packaging for a Wal Greens DC in Rogers, MN.

    Tips for success in trucking

    2. Keep left door shut.

    3. Keep right foot planted.

For those in our log/compliance department that say you can't average 65 mph in a 68 mph truck...peek at this pic

This was done from Cottage Grove to just outside Effingham with 43,000 lbs in the box...

I have a question for anyone...before I call GP. In my rush yesterday, I neglected to put my fuel amount I got at UPN on my trip sheet that I turned in. Does anyone know the proper way to correct it. I have the amount written on my mileage notebook.

    *update*
I spoke to Tony...nothing can be done at this point. Except to be more careful next time. Almost 10 months and it's my 1st oops...I don't think they'll be to p/o'd

Backhaul finally called. Was empty and leaving (and messaged it to them) at 845...right on the predicted unload schedule of the Effingham Sherwin WIlliams d/c. At 1015 they call, load picks up in Danville, IL going to Egan, MN for tomorrow. This is as tight a schedule as I have ever had working here. Next day deliveries. But instead of a Crete next day delivery (which is usually 3-400 miles) a Poly next day is 550-600 miles. Gota love it.
