Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

bad news is...from IL you'll most likely get a load right back to MN. Having a holiday on a Friday sucks for us freight haulers...scratch that....holidays in general suck for us freight haulers

 

Back haul called finally. Headed to Mccarran, NV to Farmers Branch for ASAP...and the only Mccarran google maps finds is the Mccarran International Airport in Vegas. Will have to talk to the broker once I get to Sparks to see if that is the place.

 

I believe the area where the Walmart DC is located is called McCarren. Off the 80 at USA Parkway, if I remember correctly.

 

Back haul booked another food grade load from General Mills in Carlisle,IA (Des Moines) even after trailer was rejected by Kellogg's. It picked up the same day so it helped make the day productive. I stopped enroute to resweep trailer and founf that the "cobwebs" was in fact fibers from bulk bags. The load was scheduled for delivery Monday so I was given a 900 DIFF so I could pull an outbound coming to Lansing,MI and was told it already had a back haul attached. I thought "Great! A turn & burn.", and it probably could have been if the Meijer's DC hadn't taken five hours to unload. Pick up was rescheduled for tomorrow (1200!!! :-/) in Grand Rapids going to Temple,TX for 0900 Thursday. I had planned to put myself on Thursday's board but had to wait till Friday thanks to pickup/delivery being a day late.

So I'm just a little miffed right now with the worst month I've had here. Oh well, nothing God can't take care of (bills are paid and I'm still fat). )))) Could be worse. This too shall pass.

Point: It's not always lollypops and roses here at Poly America, but it beats being un/under employed.

You sir, are correct. I called the broker. Load picks up Tuesday at 1400. It's going to Tuesday Morning in Farmers Branch, which is usually a drop, but due to the holiday they are not allowing drops between 1400 on Thursday and Monday morning (weird...a Tuesday Morning delivers on Monday morning)...so my pudgy little fingers zipped off a 900 diff request...GRANTED and I am on the board for the weekend because this truck must go in the shop, so it looks as though I am in loaner land...can't complain too much though. This is the 3rd service cycle without a major issue.

 

I did eat flogs legs this past weekend does that help saving the planet ???

 

Is it true about stop pay, after your first drop and hook its $30 pre stop/ load there after until you get back to Dallas ..
