Well, I've already had a few bugs crop up...nothing too major. The engine fan stayed on from Childress, TX to when I shut down in Amarillo....not sure why. But it didn't stay on today. The throttle pedal will not come all the way up...not racing the engine or even effecting the idle, but not letting the jakes come on. If I put my toe under the pedal and lift a little, the jakes come on fine. And this morning, while doing my walk around, my drivers side headlight was out. Not a problem, I have a spare...except it wasn't the bulb, the plug was melted enough to lose contact with the bulb. Wiggle the wire it comes on...let loose, it goes out. Since it is Sunday morning, and I have it timed so I can get to Johnson's Corner before it fills up, I didn't want to screw with hours of traveling to where ever Fleetnet would send me and decided to fix it myself. I check with the T/A for a new plug...fresh out. I try Freightliner, out of stock(universal 9006 bulb...universal plug). I try the Petro, don't stock. International is closed on Sunday in Amarillo. So, I disassemble the plug and kinda fix the metal connector inside so it fits tighter, and it works, but who knows for how long. Off I go. I make it to Lamar, CO...get thru the scale and stop for a break at the Ambest just west of there. On a lark, I walk over to their shop and ask about a replacement plug. They looked on the computer, and didn't have any, but suggested the O'Reilly's back in town since NAPA is closed on Sunday. As I started to turn and leave, I noticed a headlight plug sitting on top of the filing cabinet with a post-it note on it. When I pointed it out, they said that they bought that for another driver and he never showed...and the note was from their boss telling them to return it on Monday when NAPA opened...so they sold it to me at cost... 15 minutes later...I have 2 good headlights. Sometimes a blind squirrel can still find a nut...and it makes it easy when the nut falls down right into his mouth when he is yawning.

I forgot how quiet these Maxxfarce engines are. I'm just not getting the MPG's I was out of my Cummins. This thing is only getting 5.5(calc'd, not just on the lcd screen)..and with that battery pack working good, almost 0 idle time. I think it started up and ran for little while overnight before I started on this load. But the a/c is ice cold, and the battery pack system has done fine so far.

If this truck works out...I may have to stop bad mouthing Maxxfarce...it certainly pulls better than the old Crete jalopies.

Is the pick up in Green River a set or open appointment? I have to head there after a 730 delivery appointment in Loveland. They said it is a 7/7 pick up.

If it's FMC, follow the signs to plant, park on right and chock your wheels, and go check in. Don't remember if appointment time is necessary as I've been loaded as soon as I got there or had to wait my turn in line.

it's like 300 miles there, so it'll be early/mid afternoon when I get there so I hope it isn't too long of a line or I'll just have to pretend I was at the Little America the whole time.

I've never been to that customer. I'd call them in the morning and ask to unload early.

I've never unloaded early there, and to be honest, it's a tight place because it was busy when I've been there so an over night might not be possible...there is the driveway past their gate, but I don't know if they allow you to park any longer than necessary, and the worst part is that there is no truck stops really close.

    Mev Thanks this.
