Got the call from backhaul. Houston to Ft.Worth for Monday. Am waiting on my 900 diff request to be answered. Carl says they're 15+ drivers short for tomorrow's loads and short for Sunday's loads as well...so I have a good chance of dropping this and rollin...rollin...rollin...and keeping them dawgies movin...

*update. 900 auth'd. Picking up headed to Rockford IL for Monday...which usually means a backhaul to UPN...and maybe another knockout of a week. Will have right at 6600 miles for the month by the 2nd week...and rolling again, except I won't have time for a restart so I am on recap hours until further notice.

I thought about the 4 stopper to WI. But the last 2 stops were Beaver Dam and Oconomowoc. Did those before...only it was Oconomowoc then Beaver Dam... Oconomowoc is a Target...and they believe they are entitled to used every minute they're allowed to unload which puts you in a pickle to legally unload at Beaver Dam

And to think I've eased up a bit in my old age. When I was young, dumb and full of......commotion. ..3500 miles a week was only in the acceptable range...more was requested...but then again, back then a logbook was only a formality and every lawyer in the country wasn't circling overhead like a vulture waiting for the slightest reason to file a lawsuit.

Where are you at where they can't find a load this time of year? To answer your question, I would say, probably not. You wouldn't believe the paperwork that they go thru to secure loads. That's probably why we use many of the same brokers every time. Much of the paperwork is on file in the broker's office.
