your ClimaCab batteries last 10 hrs or your factory International no-idle (Coolcab or whatever International calls it) lasts 10 hrs...there is a huge difference. My old truck had ClimaCab and over 70-75 deg outside, I'd get 4-6 hours...but only after the sun went down. This newer truck with the International system keeps the whole truck cool (with my thermal window shades) for 8-12 hrs at 85-90 deg

With the maxxforce I'm getting about 6.3-6.8. Yhe old isx I had 6 was the best I could get. Usually got got around 5.5-5.8 in the isx.

Thing works best once dark comes , it's useless if I end up emptying out during the day and sitting in the bright hot sun.

The ClimaCab looks like a mini reefer unit hanging out over the back of the bed, the other one is integrated in with the sleeper ducting, and is under the passenger side of the bed where a sidebox use to be. If you're getting that much cooling out of a ClimaCab...you would be the 1st one I've heard of. Most of the drivers with those units don't even use them they suck so bad. Mine would only cool you if you built a puptent off the top bunk and enclosed yourself in...then it wouldn't last all night if it was hot outside. And it had fairly new batteries.

My Maxxforce seems to be getting about the same range as everyone else. On fairly even ground around 6.5 and when pulling hills heavy around 5.5.

Nearing the old cribbage. Finish up in the morning in Fayetteville and CLinton, NC and then on home to load up the moving van for the Vegas journey. You guys be safe out there, probably going to be out of internet mode for a couple of weeks.

The new Maxxforce Cornbinder is almost as fast as the old Cummins powered one. Left Carlsbad, NM at 2:45 pm Monday. At 2 pm (after waiting on broker 30 minutes to call saying I could deliver a day early) I pulled into my consignee in Perham, MN. 1445 miles in 47.25 hours...
