Outbound called. New voice there as well. I had a choice out of UPN(of the ones he was authorized to release). A 2 stopper to MI. A 4 stopper that ended in Astoria, OR, or the challenging load I chose....Scobey and Cut Bank, MT. Both have a bunch of US route miles to run...so it looks like this truck is going to get a workout.

I've never finaled in Montana since I've been here...where do we usually pick up a back haul?...3 Forks. Green River is 600+ miles away, he said sometimes they run down there...

    New voice ?

i seem to either get Carl on the OB and Lionel (?) on the b/h

Last time I was in PGP all the guys that been there a while we're saying there's been a lot of new people appearing and quite a few drivers bailing.

Its still the best place I've ever experienced in this industry .

Things always changing in this crazy world

I usually get Carl or John on OB...this wasn't either one of those guys. I know Carl had a shoulder injury a while back...just before it got really busy. Maybe he's gota take some time off to get it fixed and they have someone learning the ropes. This guy sounded like he knew the company and knew what was going on like he's done this here before.

I haven't heard from Lionel in a while. I thought he had either moved up or moved on.

I know the shop won't be happy to hear from me. I am only 2500 over for service and headed to western MT. Guess I'll have to use reverse psychology on them and explain it was there or western OR...next time I'll call them for their advice before choosing a load..

Good idea ,Defiantly let them know and keep maintenance in the loop , that's what I did the other week Once I advised them they entered the data in the system and everything worked out .

I don't know what the big deal about going to Speedco is anyway. If you calculate what they pay an oil change tech per hour by the number of hours he takes to change the oil...then add the cost of parts and supplies...a basic Speedco service isn't that much more, and the truck is back on the road quicker and back to being productive.

Oh wait...I'm thinking again...I forgot, when it comes to the shop and maintenance....I'm not allowed to think

I decided to take the 4 stop Oregon load. Looks to be some good miles and I've been to the 1st and last stop before.
As for the new voice I asked him about it. He said he was just filling in for Carl for the day. He said Carl was just off for the day and he was helping out.

I started to take that one...but at the time I was already 2500 overdue for service and I am about fed up with the constant hassles with the 3 stooges in the shop. Today, I got into a very, how do I say it.....enthusiastic conversation with Tommy...and there weren't any pleasantries exchanged. But when the 1st words out of his mouth went something like "I'm trying to find out what your problem is"...I almost opened my mouth and showed my Ohio public education by saying "for starters, arrogant incompetent idiots running our shop...what's yours?" But I didn't. He followed it up with "why can't you seem to get your truck into the shop on time for service"... I informed him that the last time I was on GP's yard I was 1900 miles away from a service. "Did you tell dispatch you needed to get service done?"..."what good does that do, Mike told them on the other truck, and it was 2 weeks before I got back, and if the shop forman can't get it done, who am I to get any better results...what do I do, sit for weeks waiting for a load to TX...if there isn't loads going that way, I can't make them crap one...if you want it serviced, send me to Speedco"...then some more useless dribble came out of his useless pie hole...and I stopped trying to get any point across and just said that he needs to release me so I can go, customers are waiting. If I ever leave, that shop will be the reason.

Has anyone delivered to the Family Dollar Distribution Center in Duncan, OK? Was wondering about parking. Going to be out of hours when I get there tonight.
