since Monday morning, I have driven 3430 miles and had 5 stops (3 outbound deliveries and a back haul pickup and delivery), and I am within 65 miles of my back haul shipper. I burned 62.75 hours in 5.5 days, so I had a total of 7.25 hours until Monday night. My back haul doesn't pick up until after 7am on Monday, and it is 1600ish miles to the delivery in Garland (depending on which route I choose). It doesn't have to be there until Thursday, but I am going to turn and burn and get it there Wednesday afternoon if possible. Which means, I will have 3300 miles in 7 days, but since I restarted in the middle, I will have around 30ish hours left after i deliver Wednesday. So if they have a quick out and back like a Laredo or a Dayton or a New Braunfels, or even one of the flatbed loads, I could conceivably turn 4000+ miles by Sunday,(after turning in 3100 miles by last Thursday so that means mid 7's possible in 2 weeks) and I am planning on being home after the 1st of the month sometime.
I am one of those drivers that lives by the moto "make hay while the sun shines"...another words, get the miles turned when they're available...don't hesitate to get the job finished as quickly as possible... I personally would rather run my 70 out in 5 days, take 2 off (and during those 2 days, my 168th hour passes and I can complete a restart) I hate having to run on recap hours. It seems as though a lot of the time when I run on recap hours, I get in the position you're in right now.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

I'm sitting at Lowe's in Statesville, NC, waiting for my trailer to be empty. I pick up tomorrow at a place called Community Thrift in Charlotte. It's going to Houston. Kind of sounds like a interesting place to pick up.

Just started with Poly and first load I picked was Poly West. Picked a Sumner, WA next. What's the best way to get up there? My gps wants me to take the interstate route but I didnt know if 93 would be better. Headed out tonight and would appreciate the help.

Asheville welcome! Just to add to what SS wrote, on US 93 there is a cut-off for St RT 318. Take that to US 6 to Ely,NV where you will rejoin US 93 on up to Twin Falls. If you arrive in Sumner the day before your delivery you can park at the shell station at the exit off of St Rt 167. There is a $12 parking fee but Poly will reimburse you for that one night. Some guys stay at the Loves in Ellensburg or the TA in North Bend (if going I90) or some will stay at the Loves in Napaville (if going up I5) the night before. I recommend staying away from the Loves in Tacoma and the Pilot in Tumwater. Best of driving to you.
