Yeah but what they didn't realize is that weighting the stylus assembly more just does more damage to the record. They degrade each time they're played. Yes I'm one of those young vinyl buffs...

The shop is about to hear a rather displeased driver call their customer service hot line. This truck, although Maxxforce powered, pulled o.k. when I first got it. Now that I went in and had service, this thing won't get out of it's own way. It use to be able to get up to the speed limit with a normal weight out bound load before the big hill at the tx408 exit on I20. Yesterday, 55 max. Plus, when I shut down in GP the 1st night and then last night in Robertsdale, AL, I set the Autostart switch and went to bed. At GP, the truck attempted to Autostart, but it failed. I thought that maybe I forgot to tiptoe the brake and clutch pedals to make sure they weren't contacting the sensors. (another driver said sometimes you need to pull back on both pedals to make sure they aren't on the sensor)...Last night in Robertsdale, I am sure I did it...and it still failed. Before I call them and scream, is there something they disable when it goes into the shop for service that they forgot to enable once they were done?

It's " be kind to the shop week" in Texas

I think I figured out what the problem with the shop is...supposedly they're ASE certified technicians. ..I guess in Texas, ASE means Almost Speaks English.

I didn't mention this yesterday for fear of being too negative (but hey, I have been a much more positive individual as of late) but the trailer I have had a DOT sticker on it that expired this month. Given the fact that I am headed home for a week, and that I have a decent chance of getting a LaGrange load, which means I would drop this trailer there. I chose to do the proper thing and have it inspected...when the guy came out to inspect it...said I have until the end of the month and was going to leave. I mentioned I was homeward bound, and that where I usually go after that, the trailer might not see TX again until next month. So he did a 15mph DOT inspection. I was sitting in my truck the whole time, watched him drive to the shop, get the paperwork, drive back (at 15 mph) cross in front of my truck and trailer, walk to the old sticker and peel it off and apply the new sticker with next years date...and walked by saying "all set" and drove off....yessir, that shop is "all about safety". And with the way Alan responded to me when I found that they forget to secure my oil filler cap, do you think I will ever do it again...a snowball has a better chance of rolling down a lava flow before I ever say anything about that shop to him again.
