JD, I wish you nothing but the very, very best. You're a stand-up guy and a straight shooter, and have been a wealth of info. One of the main reasons I haven't pulled the Poly trigger is my desire for a little more freedom, not so much income. Family in CA, where I haven't lived in 33 years, friends spread out now, all,of us getting older....the whole bit. I'll be very interested to hear of your new adventures. Poly's loss is Landstar's gain.

    Godspeed!

with the 10 percent out of rte miles rule do they do it for the whole
trip untill it ends at poly or do they seperate the outbound miles from backhaul miles, ive never had to to worry bout it but i made a boo boo in my routing, i thought they seperated it but never really knew and really never worried bout it

On the 2x truck wash...this is 2x per truck, not 2x per driver, correct? The reason I ask is right before I turned in my old truck earlier this month I had it washed, then I had this one washed just before they serviced it 2 weeks ago. Now with the construction mess around Poltex, it looks like crap. Was wanting to get it washed again since it's past half way through the month...but wanted to make sure about being able to get it done before getting in line.

My brain is temporarily suffering from information overload after the first day of orientation at Landstar. Nothing Monday Night Football & a good night's sleep won't cure.

Well a fairly solid 3997 miles for the week:) Got to knock out my DOT physical in the morning and then ramble on down the road with my remaining 3.5 hours. No love on available loaners tonight so just going to roll the die and keep on keeping on with the old girl and hope she makes it back to GP during normal maintenance time when I can get a few things looked at. Taking off until the 2nd when I reach home to spend the last days of my kids summer break doing some fun stuff in Sin City with them.
