Those warrantee people in the shop from international. that are not even employed at Poly are all on commission. so I guess is why poly don't care they don't pay for them trucks to be fixed. glad I got one of the two frieghliners. this one even has issues that did not exist before going into shop for pm's. every time I think yay shes running good. then along comes a pm and I get a new list of problems. after I get her back. starting to wonder if the ugghhh people in there not know what to call them. purposely sabotage trucks to keep work busy in there. its crazy.

but I do get good miles even with having to get loaners for weeks at a time. till I get my shaker back.

you know that thought about them messing with trucks crossed my mind...wouldn't surprise me if there wasn't a thread of truth there somewhere. An awful lot of 'accidental' mistakes seem to happen out of there without anyone getting excused from their duties. If we screwed up that often, they would have had people waiting to help carry our stuff to the gate.

I should've known if I said it was a quick in and out it wouldn't go that way for you. Guess I put the hex on it for you. I was the only truck there the day I went. In addition I think the guy was wanting to go home once he got me loaded. I've been to the delivery place in Henderson several times. The ladies that work at check in are a little sassy at times. They might get right on you and then they might take awhile. I've had them bang it out in less than an hour and then I've been there for about 4 hours. However, most visits have taken around 2 hours or less. The place is fairly easy to find. When you're going east on 515 it's the exit just before the exit for the Fiesta Henderson Casino. Left at end of exit ramp which takes you over 515. Take left again when road "T's" at the light by the car lot. Then left one more time down past the car lot and place is one the right. Entrance is like some of Crete's...has those tire spikes if you try to go out instead of in. The exit is a different place where a guy lets you out. Hopefully all goes ok for you there. Good luck and take care out there.

In retrospect, it wasn't that much past my appointment time when they finished...it just felt like it, plus the other driver with a slightly later appointment had more on his 14 than me, got there after me and got in, loaded and gone. They timed it just about as close as it can get. I pulled into the truck stop I wanted to stay at with 15 minutes on my 14. This whole equipment/shop crap has me pushed out of my new found comfort zone....I need to refocus myself. It is pushing me back to the old Crete version of snackbar...I thought I had moved past him.

If you are going to the Black Mountain facility in Henderson with an early morning appointment you can sometimes get it knocked out when you arrive the night before. I have always got in and out of there pretty quickly.

I was reading this post from page 1. Alot going on at Poly which sounds good but some are bad. Is your truck really down that much that you aren't getting any miles? If so, i'll keep looking at other companies.

I am headed to the Commercial Way location. Heard they whizzed a driver (not one of ours I don't believe)off so bad out of that location, he left in such a hurry, he tried to go out the in...and hit the spikes

Got pulled into the Cascade Locks POE in OR. Level 1 inspection...passed. Also got my next load. Same load as before, pu out of Henderson Tuesday deliver to Sumner on Thursday morning.(with luck they will be ahead of the game again this weekend) This time though, I had Kaleb put a note in the system saying I need to get back to the GP shop for repairs. Too bad the shop can't get things together like the operations and compliance departments over here...this would be a 4 or 5 star rated employer if they could get on the ball.

I probably have driven as many loaner trucks in my two years here than most folks. The last one lasted about 20 miles before over heating and I had to turn her around and reload into another loaner. It sucks switching trucks but I have paired down my transferring things over to the minimum to get the job done and get me back to GP for my regular truck. Fortunately the last 6 months in my regular truck have been fairly trouble free minus the alternator breaking off but I managed to get her back to the yard for repair and just kept on rolling with a loaner.

If you can figure the system out on the Outbound loads regarding the areas that you like to run and can handle some shop inadequacies at times you should be able to bring in a good paycheck with as good a home time policy that you are going to find for an OTR driver. This last month is an anomaly for me as I had to take quite a bit of time off for a move from NC to Nevada. I only drove for 14 days (8026 miles) and had 17 days off with no problem from anyone. As long as I am driving for someone else I don't reckon I can find a better fit for myself. I can pretty much drive where I like (out west) and be home a hell of a lot more than I was with Crete with better pay. If I was stuck for some enormous amount of time in bum #### Egypt waiting on my truck to get repaired (with 0 pay) I wouldn't be too happy of course but I have somehow managed to avoid more than a 1 day hotel bill. I carry enough duct tape and bailing wire to patch the old girl up in most cases to make it back home:)

As with most other jobs you just have to accept that sometimes you have to deal with some BS. As I get older I am able to accept this fact and just move on to the best of my ability (it still pisses me off a great deal but I realize now that I am surrounded by stupidity, incompetence and laziness and I can't change everyone so I just roll with the punches and try to make things work the best I can for me:)
