They will begin to loose so many people
it will be more cost effective to pay detention
that spend all that money on rehiring people.

Seems it would be better if they paid breakdown and truck switching pay.
-
I meant to say breakdown pay , I get the two mixed up
-
At least breakdown pay when not in close proximity to GP. It may help cut down repair costs as well. I know that if the engine fan hadn't died on my truck, I had all intentions of getting this truck to GP and not spending days (or weeks) in a repair shop regardless of potential other issues that resulted from the trip...as in...if they don't care about me losing money with their faulty equipment why should I care about their equipment's repair expenses. I hate to be that way, but, I am a counter puncher...I don't start things, but I don't back down from finishing them
LilRobWayne Thanks this. -
Getting it back to the shop thinking i was doing the right thing for the
company has already bitten me pretty hard once.
No good deed goes unpunished as the old saying goes.
Lesson learned -
Getting the hurry up and wait shorty loads now. Up north to Effingham back haul indy to I forgot some where south west of up north that doesn't deliver till Fri. To get a load from up north that was scheduled for Thursday pick up to A 2 drop mom and pop in PA. Could be worse I guess.
