You got it SSB,
Poly is fine ,
i took it too personally
for some reason when
they mentioned points.
i got skeered and defensive.
Were rock stars in the trucking
world on some weeks.
Hub miles/all miles pay is
really sweet.
Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

They sent me down to Mundelein, IL to pick up a preloaded trailer to drop Up North. Outbound called and I took a 1 stop mon and pop going to Sterling, MA. This will be my first mom and pop.

Everyone needs to watch themselves around me for a while. Last week bambi and I had a brief unsatisfying encounter. This week, after delivering in Jacksonville, about a mile after I leave, while sitting in traffic, I get rear-ended by a Yaris. All the extra time I had to get to my backhaul shipper wasted waiting on the cops...since bad things come in 3's, and since #2 was worse than #1...that means #3 is liable to be a doosie...

That would be a nice. My load is a mom and pop, but one stop. Shouldn't be too small of a place though. -
I have a question for any of the thread followers that aren't Poly drivers and work for a company that has those dog-funnel tail cones on the back of their trailer(s). (You know, that aero extension on the back that looks like that thing a veterinarian puts around your dogs neck to keep them from licking a wound.) How much fuel does it save to have them there, but folded shut? I see that a lot, especially with Prime-O&S-Wiltrans-Jim Palmer drivers. I asked a few of them the same question, but they gave me the excuse that they didn't need them extended because they were empty...WTF does empty or loaded have to do with an aero-enhancing device not being deployed...being loaded doesn't change your aerodynamics on a reefer-air ride... And some of these people were the Fleece drivers doing 55 mph to boost fuel mileage... I just don't understand these people.
