Not really a secret change as OB will tell you if you decline that you will be moved to the bottom of the next day. Not really a big deal and only fair the guys on the next day board. I think they had guys that knew what days loads come out when so if a good load came out on Wednesday, they would get on Tuesdays board and then decline all those loads so they could jump the Wednesday people to get a chance at the good ones, especially if they know they would be late getting the day the "really" wanted.

But just like the 'nothing hanging off the truck', the new overflow parking when the curb is full, nothing is explained until it happens...Crete was good at that 'need to know' crap...I guess the red trucks aren't the only thing Poly has in common with them.

There was a rumble at the meeting from dispatch.
They have tuned into drivers trying to " jump the board "
    and manipulate the best loads.

The speaker from dispatch made it clear they are aware
of it and it won't be tolerated.

They never mentioned it in meeting 1...not that it matters much to me since I don't decline loads. I am having a hard enough time making a living taking a current load, let alone waiting another day for something to do.

I have two questions. When taking a load from pole tex to gp what's the process once you get to gp? Like who signs the paperwork and where does the trailer go?

Also say I run a load up north and then I get a load out of poly north do I start a new trip report since they give you a new trip number? Or no matter where you go everything stays in the original trip packet until I get back to gp assuming I dont turn it in at a different plant?

The guard grabs the paperwork , you should have a copy also.
you drop the trailer over where we usually load at.

Trips end once you are back at a poly plant.
They will give you a new trip number when the contact you with
    your load info.

Personally I hold everything and turn in paperwork at PGP

    ArmyGuy Thanks this.

When you get to GP with your pol tex load, security will take your paperwork and drop your trailer. Your 2nd question, if your assigned a load out of up north, it will be a different trip. Your current trip would be over.

    ArmyGuy Thanks this.

Make sure you put the (P) for pick up out of Pol-Tex, and your (D) at your delivery at GP. Drop pay continues thru Pol-Tex to GP. And unless you turn in paperwork in UPN, your drop pay continues as well until you get back to GP.

as of Jan 1st the Illinois tolls will be goin up, the south beloit will be 7$ instead of 5$ , didnt look at the rest. happy thanksgiving. and speaking of declining loads when u want to get home, john used to look ahead and see if a load was coming up in the next week or so and have it loaded early so u could get home, or if u put urself in for a load home on a fri he would look for somthin from sat or sun also that gets u home, anyone kno if they changed this?, it seems now that they are not even lookin ahead when lookin for somthin to get u home, which limits whats available as far as home loads.
