I haven't had any issues getting one, but living in FL and a week advanced notice helps.

Talked to a Poly driver this morning at Belle Vernon, Pa. said he was loading for Laredo, Tx. Must be a secret on where it delivers in Laredo because when I asked all he said was, "yep goes to Laredo". Guess I was being to nosey,:biggrin_25512: just like seeing where ya all get sent to when I run into one of the drivers.

Today was, without a doubt, one of my most disappointing days since I came here and has renewed my desire to move on, sooner than later. I found out just today that Poly wants drivers to have their drivers license renewed more than 2 weeks before it is due. Mine expires in early January, so I was told that I will be put on hold and not given any loads after the 18th of December. This is a problem since I just left home and wasn't planning to go there until just before Christmas. So, I either screw up my Christmas plans, or head home early and get it done and screw up an already mileage shortened month and try to salvage some miles between now and then...once again the 'need to know' Poly machine fails. I also got called into the office and had a face to face with Pat because I under reported my miles yesterday because I didn't want to have to call Hyatt at home to get my miles pushed out so I could leave the compound on Thanksgiving and come back this morning to have my truck serviced. Turns out, once again, that is an unwritten rule that I violated...all in an attempt to be decent and not invade Mike's holiday time at home. I simply cannot win anymore. I honestly am more discouraged here than I ever was at Crete.

so you lied about your miles, and got called into the office for it...and try to justify it that you did not want to bother a person at home on thanksgiving...

Only reason I did it is so I don't have to sleep on the yard without food or a shower or so I didn't have to bother a supervisor on a holiday just so I could get off the yard...I tried to show some consideration for others...even when I don't care for him...but it's these stupid rules about leaving the yard and the pointless service schedule. No regular company I have heard out here changes the oil at 15k anymore. Years ago, yes, but in today's synthetic world...it is unnecessary and only wastes both company money and drivers time...and this is from a company that squabbles with the purchasing guy about buying a set of fairing mount bolts a few bucks cheaper and then have them shipped in.

To top it off...my load was ready today...but, the trailer has a bad air bag...so, another trailer malfunction costs me more time. If anyone who is thinking about coming here...be prepared...in my almost 3 million miles, I truly have never had to deal with such junk equipment...you had better be ready to be broken down...a lot
