Glad I moved over to Poly Trucking

To be honest, I've tried the zen-like go-with-the-flow angle before and you know what happened to my career...it sorta' resembled that swirl right after you push down the handle of the camode...right before all your hard work goes down the drain. If you think back to all the times we've bumped into each other...how many times have you seen me without a smile or a joke or an upbeat outlook...yeah I BMW a lot, but I also find humor in almost everything. That is how I absorb all the world dumps on me. The other day was probably the first time you have seen me in such a somber, DGAF mood...mainly because I can only absorb so much before I explode...and brother, the other day when I was out on the bench, I had had it up to my eyebrows with the whole career...then to top it off, my load was loaded on a trailer with a leaking air-bag, and I had to delay my life again. You don't know how close I was to walking to the airport...just so my mood was calmed down enough to get on a plane and head home...

I've only worked for 6 companies in 22 1/2 years...and working here has truly been one of the biggest roller coaster rides of all...sometimes it feels like you're on top of the world, then in minutes it all turns up-side down and your about to spew your funnel cake.

 

Getting soft in my old age as I grabbed another load to Florida to beat the cold Forgot to ask who we deliver to in Miami.

 

So...... how do I go about getting a hotel? Do I just get one near dealer I get towed to? Then turn in receipt with trip? Or what. ..... I could have used the override and made it to a shop but someone somewhere at poly decided it better I sit from you 10 am this morning waiting on a tow truck to take me 90 miles to Amarillo dealer. Ughhhh exausted filter said no more parked regen and refuses to let truck go. Unless I use override. But can't force regen anymore. LOL

 

You just pick a hotel, but don't turn in your receipt with your trip. Put it in a separate envelope and turn it in to Pat or Martin. (Or if it's after hours or the weekend, leave it on the reception desk with Attn: Pat/Martin). Motels have to go to HR separately and will be paid on a separate reimbursement.

 

No call from Outbound about a load Monday so I can get home to renew my drivers license...hope things work out so I can get this resolved...I am already on edge as it is...

 

Ty.... called Martin played dumb to let it slip I've been sitting here since 10am...... he wasn't happy..... lol course he tried to blame fleet net when it wasn't there fault. I was like no someone didn't respond to fleet net and then 5 hour s later decided to make me sit and wait for a tow...... but I was calling for hotel now to complqin. So anyway. ...... Fleet net was giving me names I never heard of.

 

It's the stress that makes trucking a challenge. Otherwise, it would just be too easy.

 

Truck won't be done till Tuesday. WTF...... exhaust filter replaced. now radiator is leaking they had to order it. Oh well. ... it is. What it is.

 

Im coming up on 7 days in the motel with no end in sight....its getting expensive!
We should start a breakdown club or something.

 

Where are you stranded? You can call Poly and see if they can route a driver to pick you up and get you back to GP to use a loaner...they will cover bus fare back to your truck once it is fixed and ready. Sounds like a pain, I know, but it gives you the option of making some kind of a paycheck.
