Thats 5 days Super ...im on the 8th day of breakdown ... i may crack soon

....Maybe thats why they were unable to help me get a ride back for a loaner , all the drivers are idled due to the slow holiday season.

I totally forgot its close to Christmas

I finally got the call from out bound. They offered me Mass, CT or NJ. It wasn't until I reminded them that I was suppose to head home for a quick pass thru to renew my license before Compliance has a conniption fit. So, he gave me a load that delivers Friday in J'ville, but it wasn't suppose to load until Wednesday. So, he has it bumped up to be ready tomorrow and I do my license while under a load then deliver...works for me.

you see how grumpy I get after only 5 days, can you imagine the tirade I would be unleashing if I were in your situation?

I am not sure what the deal is with them, if you caught a ride, it would most likely on a back haul, which you already had. They could have routed someone in from a Searcy load or a KC load to pick you and the load up and deliver both...Greyhound is only $28 from your area to Dallas...still cheaper than them paying for all those days in a motel...even a round trip ticket.

Sounds like you're expecting them to think :sign5:

The impression i get from Poly is unless you're in a crash or incident , we drivers are completely invisible.
They have the luxury of not being too concerned when a driver is stranded.
We are not a money loss when we breakdown.

I don't expect this to change

Good thing you got that Florida load. I'm sitting in Elkton, MD for my Smyrna, DE delivery in the morning and they're talking about a nor'easter hitting up here starting sometime tomorrow. Good times!

I guess we are totally opposite...I insist they do their job, which involves anything to do with me moving freight in their equipment...I start by asking nicely, then I insist, then I step on toes on the way to the next rung up the command ladder...I'm sure Coyote is going to either sue for the loss of revenue or stick Poly with a load and think twice about using our services again. Remember the rule about taking time off under a back haul, it's forbidden because they don't want to chance having to pay for a brokers freight...same thing here...to the customers of Coyote, this is a service failure for Coyote as well as us...that affects their business, and their freight rate. You can bet your last George Washington those cost get passed right on to the carrier that caused it...i.e.. Poly...and when they lose money, butts are chewed, and people's jobs are put in jeopardy...regardless of how good of friends these people are with each other...the boss' have bigger, better friends...as in the dead presidents in their bank account. And when they start losing those friends, the good 'ole boy buddy system goes out the window.

Like I mentioned in my PM conversation, I would be spending my days broken down securing my next employer, and with Poly listed as a job reference. .then when HR calls wondering why you're wanting to leave, they will inform upper management about the way you're getting treated...then a size 11 shoe would be firmly placed up someone's butt... I could accept it if someone made a mistake, but this goes beyond acceptable treatment. No driver should be treated like you are being treated.

it's been so long since I was in the N/E, I think the pages of my map for those states are stuck together so bad I couldn't read them if I had to...it's been 18 months and I don't miss it one little bit.

Not the biggest fan of this part of the country either, but it was either this, San Antonio, or Cheyenne. Not a huge fan of the Cheyenne area this time of year earlier. And they can have that whole I-35, San Antonio thing. This one had good miles and 4 drops.

    i hear ya super .

trust me when I say Coyote is very unhappy , my ears are still tweaked
from the higher ups at coyote ringing my phone on a regular basis.
They were left on the side of the road along with me and the truck.
This situation appears to have put them in a serious jam.

i went through all the motions in contacting Poly mgmt and dispatch
right when it happened and twice around midweek but nothing ever materialized.
honestly they didn't seem too concerned about it.

im not calling the shots , all I can do is advise them of the problem
    and be patient.
