I scan all but my logs into 'the cloud'...that way, it Elmer Fudex puts his doubles in the ditch, I'm covered. If they don't make it to GP, I'll just e-mail them a replacement set.

Gotta watch them Internationals when they start getting close to there Pm's being due, you start to get the check engine light coming on and the engine derating, your oil pressure dropping and next thing you know the shut down kicks in and your sitting along the side of the road while everyone tries to figure out whats wrong. Whats wrong is you got a clogged oil filter, they change it and you're good as new.

only on the older Cummins. My Maxxfarce puts out more oil pressure at idle than the Cummins does at full throttle. If you're losing oil pressure while pulling a hill, ease up on the boost and it brings it up...with full boost your turbo is sucking most of the oil that makes it through the clogged filter to keep it's bearing lubed.

    I am in a Freightliner. ;)

Seems loads are moving alot since they are short on trailers in GP.

Made it to Boise, ID.... I don't hear a leak in the exhaust. Maybe EGR?

Finally got my load. Almost 13 hrs late. I did manage to squeeze in a restart, but that's crazy. Gave emergency outbound a call to cover my rear.

I didn't know you could mail your trip sheets back to GP.

I still think Tom had a satellite phone in that package.

Ya gotta remember, this is Poly, not "Average Joe's Trucking Co.". Unlike a company like Crete (or any other irregular route freight hauling company) we don't get a new trip number with every customer. We only get a new trip number when we pick up an outbound load from one of our plants...any/all back haul loads that eventually get us back to a plant fall under that same trip number. And until we are at one of the three production plants, we can't turn in any paperwork for load since we have a lot of info that goes on our trip reports for that load, and the load isn't complete until we're back at a plant to pick up our next outbound, so...until the trip is complete we can't turn anything in.

Kinda worried about freight out of Laredo. The T/A has more bobtail's than I have ever seen down here...unless the border crossing personnel are on strike, it seems as though there are a lot of drivers waiting on freight to come across the border...hope this isn't an ominous sign.

    *update*
Got my back haul load info. Laredo to Farmers Branch. Picks up today at 1300, delivers asap tomorrow. Would have helped to know that info earlier. Started my day at 7:45 for a delivery that had an 8-12n window...but at least I got a load. Put myself on the 'go home to FL' list out of GP. My December as well as my yearly average is f'd anyway. May as well go home, spend Christmas with the grandkids and start fresh after the holidays.

Oh, and the front blower motor took a dump on me...I almost made it a whole month without visiting a repair shop.
