Outbound called, out of freight for Tuesday, so...I had a wide variety of loads to choose from for Wednesday. I'm headed back to Jacksonville. He said he'll get it loaded early for me tomorrow instead of Wednesday. Works for me, if I push tomorrow, I can cruise by the house Wednesday afternoon, and spend New Years Eve and New Years Day with the little woman.

Not a good sign for the amateur drunks in the N. TX area for New Years. They are predicting freezing precipitation....overhead signs are warning drivers in the DFW area of work crews prep'ing the roads for icy travel. Glad I'll be sitting at home while the amateur drinkers are celebrating.

Since this thread has gotten a little slow as of late....how about an alternative subject we can all post about...New Years resolutions anyone? Mine...stop being such a whiney complainer, or at least cut it back some. Be like others and try to point out the positive in a situation. (Now, after you pick yourself up from that flooring bombshell, or stop laughing hysterically at the thought of me doing that) what is your resolution?

Cut out sodas years ago.....most meat too. I eat too fast and too much. The former leads to the latter. It's a real battle for me.

Actually, this is the 1st time in 22 years I have been home for Christmas and New Years. Left the day after Christmas to Houston, Houston to Dallas, then another Jacksonville load with enough time on it to stop by home for a 34 for New Years. And I already have my back haul set. Saturday morning I pick up in Albany, GA (P&G, and I have a decent trailer) that delivers Sunday evening in Houston. All told, between 12/26 and 1/4, I will have 34-3500 miles.
