Two band-aids. One crushed Silverado. An amazing event.

Like he said in the interview afterwards...he's here for a reason...now the tough part...figuring out what that reason is...

Maybe he could do Chevy commercials....naaaaa, too cheezy a gig.

Experienced my 1st use of Poly's tire account/service. Somewhere between Jackson, MS and Toomsuba the inside sidewall of an almost new may-pop...popped. Since nothing else was damaged, all it took was a call to Michelin and they sent me to the Love's there in Toomsuba. While not lightening, getting it fixed working at Poly was still faster than Crete's breakdown when they're at their best. In fact, I think my tire was replaced and I was back on the road sooner than most of the calls to Crete's breakdown are even answered. (And before the Creten's start harping on company size, our breakdown's are handled by outside agencies that handle 10's of thousands of trucks...not just our measly 350 truck fleet)

Merely for the record...whenever I had a tire problem at Crete, I simply hit a Loves or TA....didn't even call in..just sent a macro telling them the problem and my solution.

They changed some things after I left...when I was there they had to route you to the nearest authorized tire dealer...usually some hole-in-the-wall place that was just big enough to get a truck and trailer in.

Really beautiful drive today. Took the slightly longer way up to SLC via Red Mesa, AZ and through Bluff, UT. Made it to the FJ about 1705 and the place was already slam full. Managed to finagle into the last open space after getting a couple of trucks to pull up that were preventing entry. Called my last drop here in SLC and they asked if I could roll over at 0600 and let them get their stuff off before I have to go to WM in Grantsville for a 1000 appt (6 pallets). Said they needed the stuff ASAP to roll out early in the morning. So that will help me bust a move out of SLC earlier than expected to roll back to PW so all is good.

.25 left on my 70 sitting in Houston at a Walmart. LOL I guess I could have taken my time getting here and ran on recap back to GP. But while sky was clear. I just rolled it out and maybe I will get lucky and get layover while doing a 34.

Well my backhaul out of poly north ended up being a crap load. Both drops were closed for the weekend and I could have got one done by Friday but not both so I just waited till monday which then turned into making the last drop Tuesday. So I screwed myself out of one day there. No backhaul yet which is no suprise but I wasn't waiting in DC all day so I drove about 80ish miles south to ruther glenn va.
If I can get back to gp before sunday ill still be happy with my checks for the last two weeks. So all is good with me so far.
