Just wondering the co was S1G Taylor Mi Side of truck I believe was Excellence in motion.
Shoot I just don't know if I'm eager to be an old dog learning new tricks , but for sure the driver comfort is a biggie with that co. Also they'd probably not want a guy needing to be home once a month for VA appt's like me. But I know your eyes are open so I figured I'd throw that in your direction dude. Their web site looks like the maintenance on the rigs are 2nd to none. I believe they go Canada too which I chose to pass on. It's not going in , it's dealing with U.S. customs coming home I have no desire to do that regularly. They do exhibit hauling to a lot of the Nascar races I believe also. If I recall it was a selling point for them as during the colder months a lot of what they do is heading to warmer climates for shows and races. Not to mention the high end auto transport all year long. -
Had one of 'those' backhaul loads. After 9 days at home (wasted days since mother nature is a royal ##### and likes to play tricks on me. Was suppose to have 1/2 my roof replaced, but because she would see me coming and produce a cloud burst every time I tried to remove the tarp, I didn't even get the old shingles removed let alone pulling the sheathing or adding insulation. Then when I tried to work inside on trim and misc other projects in the addition, the power gets knocked out for hours). This backhaul was a 2 stop pick up. Mayo, FL (pinestraw) and Adel, GA (pine mulch). Stop 1's address wasn't where Google Maps said it was...not even close. Then the broker gave me the wrong address for stop 2, but once I found them, Bubba and Cletis go to dinner (southern word for lunch) between 12 and 1, but no one warned me. The load goes to the DFW area and is a FCFS delivery. I had myself on Friday's Outbound so I could get the remainder of my stuff (that I didn't drop at home)out of this loaner and back in my regular truck...but as of noon Wednesday Poly time, he was out of Friday freight(holiday weekend), but I got a decent choice of Saturday loads, and to my surprise, he said that shipping is not only caught up, but running ahead. They were already loading tomorrows freight today... -

1st I put in the customer name in google smart pone , if it differs from the address the broker gives me I click call , give them pu # and ask where it loads. It eliminates run around when someone's head is centered between their cheeks and not their shoulders.
As for he rain don't feel alone bud I'm out here in N.E. KY and it rains every dam day. I didn't even make plans for the 4th , what's the sense. Brand new pool table here at home , I'll break it in. Good luck though with the roof. Oh and my load home outlast Sat. was on time , rdy time 0900 , called 0936 and it was done. Not sure if that's a sign of things getting straight again or not. As for me taking the large car gig if they call , I doubt it , I have a comfort zone I'm in here at Poly , and really don't enjoy the thought of leaving that for a gig I've never done at my age. Also the Jevic driver called me and he was a boss when Jevic closed up. Don't know if he'll apply or not , filled him in on all of it , the G the B & the U, had to hang up and take a call from HR. I have finger printing to do to renew the license for Hazmat. so i'm now not coming back until the 14th 2 weeks off. I'll be a banking nut case on the new Brunswick by the time I go back. I'm about there now. When I get real good I may change my user name here to Trick Shot ! -
Google Maps is actually how I found stop 2...and verified I was at the right place by matching the phone number the broker gave to the one listed on Google...since they not only had the address wrong, but they also gave me an incomplete business name. The 1st customer's number that I got from the broker was actually the customers trucking side of their business that does the regional delivery of their pinestraw side of the business...so, it was one of those 'blind squirrel finding a nut' type situations. It all worked out in the end...as long as the delivery customer's address is correct that is.Last edited: Jul 3, 2015
