Ughhhh. Brookshire's in Tyler...the kind of place that makes you want to pull a flatbed. I had 7900 lbs of 'tater chips. Only 3 flavors...took them 5.5 hours to unload...then back to GP where I had to do my ride-test... Then on my way to the truckstop after I was done with all my necessary duties, my truck required the 2nd parked regen of the week. Just when things were turing around mile wise, the truck starts tearing up.

And I noticed a fresh new Poly advertisement in the Hutchins Love's today...plus have seen their ads on all sorts of trucking job sites...not something you'da seen a year or two ago.

I notice a lot more advertising as well. Funny, Tony doesn't look too overworked from the flood of new drivers that are flocking to our doors because of it.

For every bad delivery there is a good one. Delivered at Orgill in Tifton, GA...45 minutes after pulling thru the gate, I was leaving empty. 1 stop, full truck (45k lbs) done. Hats off to them!!!

And now I am at the opposite end of the warehouse competence scale. Had an 8 am delivery in Tifton, GA and a drop-n-hook load out of Stockbridge GA that was suppose to be ready by 1800. It is now 1900, I have less than 3 hours left on my 14, and my hook trailer is half loaded. And the braintrust in back haul has stop 1 in Houston set for Wed morning and stop 2 in San Antonio set for Wed afternoon. Nope...not going to happen unless they repower...I refuse to cheat or 'make it work' because this place can't load on time and the yahoo's in the office can't plan their way out of a paperbag...and this isn't a broker load, so there isn't anyone to call that will answer the phone to reachedule, it'll be another game of phone tag with back haul to get it straight. Just when I was starting to mellow out, they stick me on one of these stupid Direct TV load...they can have their load...this is one account that has NEVER had me out on time. Should have told back haul last week to reschedule it all to Thursday because this shipper sucks. Glad I am a Dish subscriber.

That just proves that it CAN be done. Most places just choose not to.

^^^^ I don't work for Poly. But I sat @ a shipper a couple days ago for 5.5 hrs. It took 12 minutes to load the trailer. Friday delivery had to be rescheduled to Monday delivery due to the shipper's negligence.

I had a 1300 appt at Dreyers ice cream in Bakersfield CA last week. Finally in a door at 2130 and out at 2215. Had to hand it over to a team to make the delivery on time.

Well, I pushed it hard and managed to get both stops delivered on time even with the long loading delay. 1100 miles and 2 stops in 30ish hours.(I slacked off a little this morning). Now I am sitting at the San Antonio T/A for the night. Dang do I miss my 4g Verizon phone. Haven't watched an episode of anything on Nexflix in over a month. Verizon is going to think I died since I am not using any of their data.....or maybe it's

Been a heck of a week. I have had not one, not two, but three road side breakdowns. Two of the three revolve around this truck's sudden need to regen several times a day(on a fairly new DPF). Then today, my primary Air-to-Air hose blew (the big one) so bad, 2 rolls of duct tape wouldn't fix it if I had that much. On top of that it has been blowing so much smoke during its almost hourly rolling regen, I am surprised that I haven't been pulled over.

*Update* after over 6 hours of sitting on the side of the road, I finally got moving. I was broke down near Cambridge OH, the service guy had to go all the way to PA to get parts because...imagine this...International around this area didn't have the parts. I had just enough time to get to the next truck stop east of my location before my day was up.
