    I think ripley's is off of I30.

Got my truck in and out of the shop...for now, but not released. The oil pan gasket that they just replaced 2 oil changes ago is leaking again. International, is that spanish for ####ing junk?

Hmmm seems like the negative things you've posted are the same negatives I knew before coming here. Same negative things you hear from the guys who have been here the longest. Don't think those will ever change. To me it's not so bad, but I've only been here Goin on a year so we will see.

I'm mainly money motivated, not many companies I know of, are hiring in Florida paying 50k+ a year and let you be home a week out of every month.

I hope the change works for you ssb, I'm sure with your experience you will find something that works out regardless.

The things I heard haven't come to pass. Most that I had read about said get thru the 1st year, you are eligible for new or nearly new equipment and the breakdown issues slow to a normal pace. I however, have yet to have this experience. I still have excessive amounts of problems with equipment, reoccurring issues, sometimes 2 or 3 times replacing the exact same part. And yet they continue to buy the exact same equipment year after year. If things were going like I heard, we wouldn't have drivers, some here years, walking away because they too are fed up with the crap.

$50k? You can make that running a weekly home regional gig, if you stay out 3 weeks or more, that kind of money is an insult. And a company that makes the kind of money they do should compensate drivers when ever their assigned equipment fails...

    50K + ?
Im close to that , i pulled my paystub and verified,
If things don't change* and i stay till the end of this year
    i'll just touch 48K

In that 52 weeks* i've had 3 major breakdowns / hotel stays
    totaling 11 days.
Countless small breakdowns , which usually amount to
a 4 +/- hour avg roadside events but don't actually cost or
    generate a loss , so i don't count them.
If i went back through my logs i could say exactly how much time
was spent in loaners , i would guess about 10-12K miles worth.
The old cummins powered beasts run so much better than the Max's btw.

Not complaining , thats been my life at Poly.
48k is not bad after having been through
    that many setbacks.

( i will say I've learned to avoid the PGP compound ,
last few times i was there it was very negative ,
my negativity , + others negativity
and my brain goes supercritical , so i just keep to
    myself)

If I get time this last home time, I am going to dig out all my old logbooks and see just how many different trucks I have been in during my 25 months. I am willing to bet it's close to a couple dozen.

Alot of this is true as we allow our drivers to manage their situations. Try that at SWIFT!

I am guessing that when Magnum did my employment verification, our management never got word from corporate HR that it was done. Was called into the office (thinking that they were going to ask why I was leaving) only to get my Sam's reimbursement gift card (Poly has a deal with Sam's for cheaper membership rates, then gives you a gift card every year for that same amount to 'reimburse' the driver for the dues).

That and I got another toll violation...for TX this time, on a highway that I have never been on, in a loaner truck. I am going to check my logbook to see if I was in the truck on that date, and where I was at the time of the violation. If it wasn't me, they'll get the violation back when I turn in my keys and ID next month. Have talked to several drivers that have gotten similar violations, and showed the company that they weren't even in the state when the violation occurred, only to be told to pay the toll or lose their job.

I was thinking positive on my earlier post,
    considering the conditions at Poly
    48K is pretty darn good.
Its like Im a survivor or something.
