Best way to lose my services is expect me to give up my home time with my wife 3weeks straight and the holidays too. Boy oh boy it might be a good thing I wasn't at a meeting and heard that , because that's a boat I just assume rock until I fall out of. This guy isn't playing that game , hope they don't test my ability to move on and not skip a beat , I'd like to stay a Poly driver but under those circumstances , excuse me while I pack my bags.

It was the 1st of 3, Saturday I think...

The drivers also are talking about them forcing you to take a load. If you put your name on a certain days board, then you can't say 'pass' if all they have is crap loads.

 

They have been playing force dispatch ever since I have been here , they tell me such and such a load must go before they can open up the board .
I wonder is forced dispatch going to upset the drivers ?
I just have me to worry about so I just float with what ever they throw at me .

With one exception I have not been on the east coast or north east since I've been here , been pretty lucky . I cannot imagine being Force Dispatched to the east coast , it's like Americas clogged bath tub drain .
( Pilot and the others throughout the North East are becoming more and more " reserved parking " spaces , not sure if they charge for that or it's just a formality they have adopted )

If they force DSP to Henderson , Nv for example then the home time is going to be toast , that's generally a 3 to 4 week loop and even more depending on where one lives as far as getting back home .

Tried to find a video clip of 'my man' Snoopy doing his dance to post...but I gave up...

Pulling out of the gate for the last time, it was a weird feeling, kinda a mix of relief mixed with an empty feeling of uncertainty. I mean, when I left Crete, it was in my 4 wheeler home in FL and I was on my way home. This is the 1st time in all my years that I am moving from one company to another without routing thru the house.

 

How did you get to the DFW airport from Poly ?

 

I know how you feel SS. I did the same thing at the Jim Palmer yard yesterday afternoon except I am in a rental car driving home to SoCal from Missoula. I may have a new gig when I get home. Will fill in more info when I get there and meet with my friend who hauls produce there. Enjoy the weekend!!!
