Are you still with poly. I am thinking about it . But I see all the complaints on trucks. Are the new trucks duals or super singles . Will they get you a new truck or a old one

When I left in early 2012 it was after a similar duration and partly for a similar reason. I unsuccessfully reapplied twice, in late 2012 and again last year. It doesn't help that I refuse to use propane heaters in dry vans, but I think it's difficult to get rehired by them in general. The guy I did orientation with in late 2010 was a rehire (lived somewhere down on the Gulf near Corpus Christi), but they seem to avoid rehiring.

All of our trucks are super singles and I imagine the new ones won't be different.
They are getting 100 new trucks in by the end of the first quarter next year(so they say). That will help but they need to keep it up.

    Internationals with Cummings motor.
    No tag axle.
Back to a real power divider.

They didn't learn from the last Internationals with Cummins combos I guess. At least they got it right with the axles, especially since they run so much in the NW.

I'm a little bored this morning. Thought I'd read a few pages on this thread to se what's up at Poly these days.

I see not much has changed since my departure in 2014. That's obviously good and bad.

Still glad I bought my own truck and went to Landstar. I'm still there and my truck is now paid for, plus I now have my own trailer.

The past 20 months have been very good (although the last 3 have seen a slow down) due to the up-tick in the economy.

Wishing everyone a very Merry CHRISTmas and a Prosperous New Year.

Well after two attempts in three months it appears that Poly is not willing to rehire me, I left for a family emergency and after a year or two unfortunately my Dad passed and I was looking forward to getting back to them but sadly it’s not to be.
