Delivered my local run in Henderson this morning and while I was at the customer, outbound called and gave me a preloaded trailer off the Henderson yard going to Blaine, Wa. After I got empty, I drove over to the yard and got my new paperwork for the Blaine load and hooked to the trailer. While I was sitting there signing my BOL's, Backhaul called and gave me a load picking up in Wenatchee, WA on Monday and then rolling to Laredo, TX. I need to get through Grand Prairie for a PM on my truck, so I am going to request permission to swing by. (It's out of route)
i drove up US 93 out of Vegas and stopped for the night in Wells, NV. The bad weather seems to be blowing east and should be gone by the time I leave in the morning. It's cold here though... Gonna be -6 to tonight.

Missing my US 93 runs:) Starting to think I am on the NE hit list squad now. Been pretty decent though and I sure ain't complaining about missing that ###### weather that just rolled through there although that may catch up with me in Minnesota. Take care out there. Just checked the weather and just looks like it will be cold as #### but no snow in MN so should be good to go.

So much for trying to wait out the chain law going across Meacham & Blue Mnt. Pass. I waited till noon Central Time then started rolling hoping the chain restriction would lift, but noooooo. Anyways, the roads from La Grande to Twin Falls were in great shape, then about the 180 mile marker on I84 in ID it began snowing & the roads became snow packed. I made it to the Loves in Heyburn got fuel & a shower. There was no available in the lot or at any of the adjacent businesses do I parked in front ofa shut down pump while I took my shower. Once finished I asked if I could stay there overnight & was told it is against company policy to do so. However, I was given an alternate location to use. Leaving the truck stop turn left on HWY 24 heading into town. About one mile down on the left side of the road is a closed Hostess location that the city has approved for truck parking. It's not very big & with all the snow on the ground it's hard to judge just how many trucks can actually fit. I know me & another Poly driver fit, & that's all that matters tonight.

I'm off to dreamland so I can wake up & see what tomorrow will bring.

Well, I took my time getting around this morning. Had several eating places to choose from by that Walmart I stayed at last night. Got back over to my delivery b4 noon and got unloaded just fine. Then drove some back roads through some heavy fog to get to Cottage Grove with the rest of the load. Outbound called and really wanted me to take a Henderson load that was already ready to go so I took it. Never found out what other loads they had to offer. He said he wouldn't say what else they had until someone took the Henderson load. Anyways, he also set me up with a Sumner load already. Weather will be a concern but everything else will be really good. I'm going to slip on down to a more southern route so will be good to Henderson. Good solid week of miles to run with no customers until about Thursday of next week. If weather cooperates it'll be a very nice week.
Hey Majestyk, hope the weather holds up for you in Cottage Grove. Supposed to get pretty cold by the time you get there. Maybe you'll get a good run out of there by Monday. Be careful out there and Good Luck! :)

I watched the weather channel while I grabbed breakfast in Frystown, PA. They said that storm moving through the central US was suppose to drop 6 - 12+ inches of snow thru eastern ND then roll into Canada...but wind chills in SD, ND and parts of western MN were going to be -30 or colder. Or as the folks that live in that area say, "a little on the nippy side, now where's my snowmobile keys?"

Do you Poly's have your new NY HUT sticker? That's right, it's back... Over here at the Crete Carrier fun factory, I've seen several '12 and '13 Prostars w/purple HUT's...and my last 2 loads got an extra message sent with them reminding me that ''since my load routing was thru NY state, I had to have my sticker, or at least a copy of the receipt showing we've paid''. I guess it beats paying the toll increase the put on hold on the Thruway. Since whenever ya'll aren't playing in the snow out west, your loads end up coming up here, wasn't sure if you'd heard. It was news to me, and I try to keep up with such things.

Yes we got the NY stickers. I read the instructions on the back, "must be affixed to the body (not the bumper) of a motor vehicle near the front license plate area. if this cannot be affixed to this area, contact the NYS Tax Department for instructions."

Since I'm unsure I haven't put mine on yet. Going to wait till I get back to GP & ask. With no part of the truck body close to the license plate, this decision is above my pay grade.

Every Poly truck I've seen JD, has the hut sticker either on the upper driver side corner of the bumper or down beside the base plate on the bumper. I got my truck with the sticker already installed on the corner of the bumper. It's in a prime location to be blown off by the Blue Beacon when I get a truck wash. I've already heard 2 drivers say that theirs peeled off at the Beacon. I would put it by the base plate.

Nice little revenue maker they created for themselves. Those instructions create a "gray area" where a DOT officer can write you up either way. Too far away from the license plate OR being on the bumper. Win-win situation for the state...
