Greetings Schneider forum members,
I am a recent cdl grad, and applied for and have been conditionally hired for a home daily GMSPO dedicated account. Despite much searching, I haven't been able to locate any information about this account on this forum. I had a few questions and naturally would love to hear any other info/experiences anyone working this account has to offer.
As a new driver, I was told I would receive a weekly rate of 720. This comes out to just over 37k. The quoted range for drivers on this acct last year was 50.9 - 62k. One recruiter thought there is some assessorial pay involved while another avoided the question. Am I right in thinking there just wasn't anyone at my level of inexperience/juniority working this acct last year?
As far as unloading, I was told there would be 10 to 15 stops, driving up to 250 miles per shift, and that most freight would be palletized and unloaded using a pallet jack and lift gate. Can anyone confirm this or will I be doing a lot of hand unloading?
Any other knowledge you care to drop on me would be appreciated. Thanks for your time.

10 to 15 stops? That's a lot of backing. What's GMSPO anyhow? I haven't heard of it. I'm sure someone else will have answers for you

Let me say something here. There is a low bridge at the exact intersection you have to turn LEFT to get into the Chester Ship Yard.
YOU DO NOT turn right towards the railroad bridge and subway area, you wont fit.
They used to test the then secret new Marine Osprey Mudhen tilt rotor combat ships to lift marines into battlle I remember these things brought up to speed in the test cages. I'll never forget the sound. -
x1Heavy Thanks this.
