I am not sure about the big trucks but I do know for sure after doing it many times in a p/u both a chevy and a ford. When the governer cuts out at 100, we would turn the key like trying to start it and the whole instrument cluster would shut off and you could go as fast as you wanted. you just had to hold the key the whole time.

@GAlanFink u should drive the 2012 i had it was a real p.o.s i would get hard braking events, so then they would say ole whats the problem, were u in traffic i said no i just started the truck up n i get that msg.Well one day they sent me in too lawrence over n w. memphis he tried to so called teach me how to operate the truck properly lol.So i said hmm i been driving for yall a long time this truck is #### how am i hard braking if the truck never moved, so he looked n the system n seen i was telling the truth n left it at that. For the other guy that was asking about the governor on the trucks i dont know if its part of freightliner parts r usa type of governors all i know is if u get n a cascadia youll see what im talking about.It was a driver who i always seen in the south that told me about it how to defeat the governor for 4 secs.

Or if you just meet or exceed MPG goals for the Freightliner which is 7.0+ consistently, you can request to Fuel Economy to turn your truck up. Mine was set at 65 but I can do 66 on a straightaway.
