this POS Home Depot MF had me waiting for two hours. When I got here whe was nowhere to be found, then he finally showed up and was all pissed off. I gave him my bills and went to the cab. I'm here now explaining to this moron in Spanish that it's my 13th hour on the clock and can't be driving more than 14. I can't understand his broken English so im talking in Spanish and he finally decided he was going to unload me.
I was ready to leave and take all this crap back to the terminal. Dispatch went home so the guy that answer the phone said I could leave (but hinted was my choice to make...WTF?) anyway, I know there's some kind of exceptions that companies have for this kind of situations, but they just can't say, "it's ok if you go over 14". It has to be an unforeseen situation , kinda like mine.
This fool is so stupid, keeps saying the other driver stays here until midnight. I told him its cuz he starts almost at noon, but the fool is just an Ahole !
I hear him right now kicking something in the trailer and sounding like he is in pain. Hahaha that just made my day (night)!
Peace amigos !
Going over my 14 hours in about 40 mins

At least with OTR you have another driver...

Ran my 11 down to 5 minutes yesterday. I knew I wouldn't be able to make my drop appt just by looking at the route and averaging my time. I told dispatch this.
I stopped 12 miles short. Was basically left to hang. But, I've settled on this: F-'em. It's my CDL and my fines if I get busted. Not going to gamble if I don't have to, and especially not for these unsupportive dinks.x1Heavy, Dominick253, 207nomad and 12 others Thank this. -
Giuseppe Ventolucci,
OTR ,does not mean team. most are solo drivers.rabbiporkchop, Dominick253, Bo Hunt and 2 others Thank this. -
All hail the mighty e log.

You might be thinking of the adverse driving conditions or emergency conditions exceptions, but they do not apply.
Part 395
HOURS OF SERVICE OF DRIVERS
§ 395.1: Scope of rules in this part.
Guidance
Question 4: Are there allowances made in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations (FMCSRs) for delays caused by loading and unloading?
Guidance:
No. Although the regulations do make some allowances for unforeseen contingencies such as in §395.1(b), adverse driving conditions, and §395.1(b)(2), emergency conditions, loading and unloading delays are not covered by these sections.

There's also a 16 hour allowance, but only if you are local and then it's only once during a 7 day period or something, has all kinds of catches. But either way you can't use any exemption to go over your 14 do to an unload. Unless Home Depot is threatening you with a tow I'd just stay there, F em.
