Yea I always liked So Cal for that very reason. So much street parking and after several years I had several of them throughout the region that I used frequently. Always preferred a company terminal if possible but that wasn't always an option.

But of course you know that violated Knights ridiculous 'sitting duck' policy (altho legally parked) and if someone turned you in you would get the hammer! :biggrin_25523: Happened to me just down the road after unloading in Rancho Cucamonga (and legally parked between to other rigs) while I waited for morning rush hour to clear out b4 heading east! Found out it was a Fontana weenie who did it!

Oh yea the sitting duck policy. I had forgotten about that. Knight was like a car wreck in a foreign land. You remember it actually happened but forget some of the details.

Nope. I bought my own truck and have moved on to running my own authority. I did really well there though. My time at Knight gave me the opportunity to be where I am today.

I think a lot has changed since I was there. Really depends on the terminal. Each terminal is their own independent unit. I left when they closed mine down and was sent to Memphis. It was a big change and not for the better.

I'm starting to feel the same way. After spending 11 years in the Navy, a lot of what I read seems fairly simply to get around.

it all depends on the info the driver gets. was he told it was swap out or a drop and hook at the yard two different things. also if the terminal sees an empty coming in they will take it off him and give it to someone that has already been waiting for one..js
