Good First Time Local Jobs For New CDLA

I'm getting close to my test date and I'm very confident I will get my CDL so I'm starting to buckle down on finding a job. I'm looking for local jobs first because I want to be home and I really don't want to spend a few months in a cab with a random stranger while I train (a grizzled trucker just can't beat curling up next to my lady at night).

I'm in the DFW area looking at delivery jobs with Pepsi, Coke, Hardie's Fresh Foods, PFG, and Lowe's, does anyone here have an opinion on those companies or a recommendation for a different local company in the DFW area that potentially pays hourly? And if it gives me experience to get into bigger trucks (say intermodal or tanker hauling) then that's a huge plus. Not expecting too much though (and not opposed to working hard).
