3 Months / 30 k miles -
You might be okay with living in AZ. My husband worked for Knight Refridgeration out of Phoenix, but wasn't getting enough miles to even hardly keep him in eatin money, much less pay bills at home. He had been out 2 weeks, and they asked him if he needed to get home, and he said no, but he really needed to be home around 4/29. Sure, sure no problem, is what they said. Well on our anniversary, 5/1 he was in a tornado watch area in Tennessee...long way from Nevada. he finally got home on 5/9. He was told he would average 2500-3000 miles a week, only 1 week out of 6 did he hit that. He sat waiting on loads almost as much time as he spent driving. I see a few people here that do ok with Knight, but I wish they had never called my husband. Whatever you do, pass on their perdiem scam. They take .02 off your miles, then deduct the perdiem from your cpm, so he was making .18 cpm. I know not everyone can deduct their per diem off their taxes, but if you are OTR all the time, you get to deduct every day you are gone from home. If Knight pays you your perdiem, there is no tax on it, but you only get paid for miles you run, and you can't deduct anything. I cannot conceive how they talk people into something that is only beneficial to the company, because they pay less in payroll taxes.
After 6 weeks, I can say I have no love lost for Knight.
Flash, nothing personal, but how can you survive on 2100 miles a week? Good luck to you, where ever you end up. -
I couldn't survive on 2100 miles per week. I simply meant I haven't had under a 2100 mile week. So I guess the correct number for my average if I actually calculated it would be around 2875 miles per week.
Nothing personal taken livinlife. Have a great day. -
He was averaging 2100 a week, one week was 645 (no lie) and one was 3500. There has to be more consistency to keep people than that. I just really wish I had known all this about Knight before he got the call from them, but I didn't find this place til he was gone to orientation. Things will get better, he is back home, working for a local transport co. He likes his boss and they definitely keep him busy, first day back was 14 hours, lol.

We former and current drivers for Knight "try" to clue interested drivers in with our very own experiences...Hopefully, some will listen and look for greener pastures. Not in your case since your Login was too late, but others...they just dont "want" to listen. God's best to you and your hubby on his new job. ODlivinlife Thanks this.

Wow, this is not the Knight transportation I know, safety, bad equipment, drive to get it there, they tell you to drive when the tires are almost bald. Get the load there or get written up for a performance failure.Run with one headlight untill you get to ther nearest terminal, Oh the tires are bald, can you make it to the nearest terminal. Your an o/o, well you wont get the fuel charge we are passing on to our customers but well give you a fuel protection of a few cents off at the pumps, of course you have to use the pumps we tell you too. They are headed for big trouble when csa 2010 becomes law. I guess if you dont mind living in a truck in a bed thats the size of a kids youth bed then your going to love it. DMs not BS, in your dreams, their all out of come college where the majored in art and dont know a jake brake from a baked cake. You guys can pour it on but you are the ones that live in these rats traps for months at a time and probably dont even have a place to call home

That's why Knight has become a training company. You couldn't even get illegal immigrants to put up with the #### Knight pulls on human beings.
But yea you gotta start somewhere I guess. Schneider was better my first year driving than Knight was last year, my seventh year driving. Knights steals and they are dishonest....really outta work that Knighty
