There are those that dont mind living out of their trucks sleeping on a mattress made for a childs youth bed, they dont pay rent, utilities, insurance, all they want is a place to crash enough to buy the 2 for $2.22 hotdogs and tornadoes at the pilot or maybe on payday a meal at the skillet at the petro, of packof smokes, the latest porn movie at the adult store,to play on their cd or laptop, talk trash on the cb, try to figure out the gps and of course talk truck talk to the wannabees at the flying J. Knight is like all the rest, if this is what kind of life you want, by all means, go for it, they wont hesitate to stick it to you anytime, anywhere, anyhow. I know, I did the route but it took me less than 6 months to get the hell out of there and take my truck somewhere else, where kids out of college dont tell 40 and 50 year veterans how to run the road.

Beware of these trucking trainers and knight loving company drivers, if they tell you they love it there and would never go anywhere else, they are sick. Ill bet a dollar to a donut hole, their highway hobos. The truck is their home and their lover is their pet.

this is why i am express. i like my one week, sometimes week and a half, or two weeks off without any hassles. then it's back to the hamster wheel that is driving at this company. i just checked out some local, non-irregular route gigs here in the phoenix metro area. the best paying gig is $11.50 per hour. it's also dealing with hazardous materials. oh yeah, it's also only a part-time driving job. what kind of crap is that?

That's all very true. I understand you have to get your start some where and I sure don't blame anyone for trying. Some will roll their eyes at us stupid drivers, sign up and get started with Knight. Then they will cone back and post their .02 cents about how dishonest Knight was. Those that don't are, your right, sick and confused.
Knight did things to me I didn't think were possible. I told one DM, if he pulled that crap on me again I was going to break his nose and pull teeth until he was a little more honest. That was 3 years of crap coming out right there. They didn't fire me, Knight fires no one, unemployment hurts the almighty bottom line. I took a deep breath, collected myself and drove 750 miles home. Then I got a call 3 days later asking if I was rested and ready to go. That's when I said "I don't think so"
Knight does things to a driver, I once heard of a Knight driver that shot himself in the head while driving down I-77 in South Carolina. Then we all recall the Lakeland driver that knifed that poor driver to death at the Skippers Va Loves on I-95. You get some guys not playing with a full deck and then throw in some of the craziest antics a junk trucking can come up with and top it off with some dishonesty and this is what you get. Human tragedy oh and I guess profit for the shareholders. -
I have been wondering what the "Squire" stuff was on the Knight trucks....now I know...a red swifty!

It looks like the Knight driver that killed the guy in Virgina got out of trial by an insanity plea.

You work for who?
Yeah yer nuts. -
My two cents. It won't make any sense, but whatever. Knight has a training company called Squire right? Maybe they should establish a training company for DMs called Wizard. Maybe this company won't have so many college rejects that don't know what they're doing trying to manage XX amount of trucks at a trucking company. Maybe I'll shut up now.

hey jim, how's knight treating ya?

That's pretty good.
