Total BS - The number of trucks running 70+ and getting away with it is crazy, the 55 MPH thing is what I hate the most about living and trucking in CA - Just curious - was it CHP or a local agency?
I would suggest trying to DataQ the report Help Center
It seems to me that if you are being accused of something that serious you should have the opportunity to defend yourself. You're being denied due process here.
FWIW I have DataQ'ed two inspections and won them both, so it can be done, and my carrier was grateful that I did

2007 for me. In a truck stop restaurant, Lodi CA, news is on about how Somali pirates attacked a cargo vessel. US Navy answers an SOS, aims a big gun and blows the pirate vessel out of the water. Today is a good day! They made the mistake of fishing some 14 yr old out and suddenly, the bleeding began.

    “Awww, that poor child!”
They should have left him to feed the fish. (Yeah, I said it out loud. The locals were horrified)
“You would kill a 14 year old child?”
He would kill all of you without hesitation or remorse. You don’t live in reality if you think he wouldn’t.
“Well, he needs to be with his family.”
I agree. His family was on that boat.
(Well, they all tried to shame me and I don’t shame. Finished my meal, headed out to the truck and apparently there was a pride march in the parking lot.)

These are the same fine folks who could start a genuine argument about whose at fault in a single vehicle crash.

Hey boardhauler, thanks for the reply and I'm sorry for the late response. I'm looking into dataQ! Not only did it cost me my job, they fired my wife as well, we are a PSS (protective satellite service) team, we hauled 95% DOD freight. So yeah it's hit us pretty hard, it was CHP, so I've have been doing some due diligence. 1st. of all the the cop, in my opinion should not have put speeding as a violation on a level 2, insp. from what I'm reading according to FMCSA regulations. The Reg. states, driver performance is not part of a level 2 inspection, he should have issued a citation for the speeding. Furthermore it was an incomplete inspection, as the cop did not follow the regulation as prescribed by FMCSA when a level 2 is performed. It entails checking all paperwork, logs, fire extinguisher, safety triangles, tires, tire tread depth, undercarriage, brake lights, tail, stop, ect..ect... Most level 2 inspections as you well know, will take at least 30 minutes or longer. All he checked was my doc's, asked if I was on ELD 'S, asked if I had a co driver, I said yes to all, he didn't have me open the door so he could step up and check anything inside. Cop said ok hang on a few minutes, walked to the front of the truck, looked at my plate then walked straight back to his unit. I had pulled off I-15 in a wide spot, the cop parked to the left of me midway up from the back of trailer to the truck. I watched him walk straight to his unit, I watched the whole time until he walked straight back to our truck, (NO WALK AROUND THE TRUCK) here's what I'm getting at. The cop did not perform the level 2 inspection properly as per FMCSA regulation. I can prove that the cop didn't performed the insp. properly according to the reg. therefore the inspection is incomplete. The proof is on the level 2 insp. report itself, the report states the report # Date, (START TIME, END TIME & INSP. LEVEL ll -WALK-AROUND) start time 1:00 PT End time 1:12 PT !!!! 12 minutes to do a level 2, Jesus might! But he's not, he might think he is with the shenanigans he pulled. Maybe that's why it's worth trying with DataQ. My question to you Sir, was your DataQ's any thing like this, did you submit DataQ yourself or retain a law firm?

Dunno how LS is these days, been gone for about 5 years.
Takes a bit to learn who you want to deal with, I’d finally got a good gig hauling out of memphis, but the covid hit.
May jump with them and haul govt loads.

Hello Judge thanks for the reply: Worked for LS about 8 yrs. back. Unless things have changed, there was a whole lot of favoritism there. Even on the PSS side. You know like the good old boys that agents only used. Know what I mean, didn't get lucky like you did.

I did my own. Your situation is a lot more serious than mine were - If you can find a qualified attorney to help or represent you it may well be worth it. The process isn't that complicated and it seems to me that you can communicate clearly enough. You'll can't win if you don't play!

I have never worked at LS but I bet that happens everywhere. Agents find dependable contractors that just get the job done. Why would they work with random Joe blows when they have dependable people that have a track record with them.
