I just booked an oversize load for $2.80 per mile on 750 miles and Mercer pays permits and escorts. Such easy money.
I've been in close to a year and wish I'd found these guys 20 yrs. ago.
Very honest and no forced dispatch. Literlly doesn't not try to push any loads on me. Lets me run where I want to.
They make sure we get paid within couple hours of delivery with 55% paid upfront once the freight is on the trailer.
I've been averaging around $1.90 per mile.
I haven't heard any bad from other Mercer drives that I've met out here or at the yard.
Just a great family company to lease to.
Good rates and very professional.

That is 2.80 per mile after the permits and escorts. Those are taken care of up front.
-
Depends on what makes you happy, but that is not a great pay but better than many offers out now.
Mommas_money_maker Thanks this. -
Yes 2.80 to the truck makes me happy. That's not exactly linehaul rate. The linehaul is close to 4 per mile but Mercer (like any other company) has to get their cut for insurance, operating authority, fuel taxes, broker fees, and such.
I just tied of hearing how bad rates are and would like to point out "what I feel as some good rates" -
How much does a sleeper like that cost. Do you Finance it or pay cash. Thanks
-
Actually I restored it and built the drom box on the back. It's been quite a project, still in the works. I tinker with it, more than I drive.
-
Nice. I envy you guys that have that.
-
Approx. 18 years ago, I envied the big sleepers also.
Lot of hard work, patience, and miles. Finally got it as my retirement. -
Thats something I'll have to work towards. Thanks
