I have a interview in person with Sysco Food Company I have a question when they take you on test drive do you have to inspect the truck before they take you out

 

Most companies, yes they do. I've always asked the person if they want the full CDL test version, or an abbreviated realistic pre-trip inspection. They usually want the shorter one. You check everything out, but you're not constantly repeating yourself for each part.

 

Yeah I haven't known of a place that said no don't worry about an inspection.

 

Most all of my road tests have come dressed for success. I just tell them to talk me through it instead of taking a chance on getting dirty. So then I get the well memorized spiel from trucker school. I'd rather hear the basics from someone that sounds like he knows what he's talking about, instead of something recited from a book.

If you're doing a road test and interview at the same time, show up in clean work clothes and ready to drive. This is an interview for a delivery driver, not an office position.
