You’re sitting around with a headache. Never filed a workmen’s comp claim. It happened on the job. That’s the purpose of Workmen’s comp. Pot holes are everywhere in Truck lots. The Trainer is an idiot. He’s allowing Western to play him for a fool. His fault. Same with you. It will be your own fault when you get the bill. Might be reminded of the incident for years. I get pains 40 yrs later on occasions from head injuries. Always the same spot. No need for Western to screw you over. You’re doing it to yourself.

Well you’re definitely right about the trainer. But it was 100% an accident. It was annoying he didn’t care about it and had no idea on how to assist me. He’s just a broke boy trying to make a dollar. He’s got kids. He definitely didn’t do anything intentionally wrong. How long do I have to file workers comp?

Dude, stop ignoring advice we all have had to learn through what we went through.
While it is, it is still his responsibility to ensure you are safe - PERIOD!
No sh****, you say! Of course, he doesn't give a crap. He will be a maginal driver/owner unless he was being sued for his actions to fix his behavior, because nothing will.
This is the worst kind of person in this industry, broke and unable to make a buck. He is a lease-purchase clown who doesn't need to be on the road as an Owner, he needs to stay as a driver and never a trainer.

Kids don't matter, when your health and future well-being matter more, his kids take a back seat to that.
I dispute that, come on, he didn't fulfill his responsibility to YOU! So yes he didn't deal with the aftermath of the incident intentionally, which he should be held accountable for. I would have fired him if this happened in my company.

Don't know, the company can tell you this or the insurance company they have engaged.

you don't actually file a claim.

when you notify your company of an injury, it is on file.

then when you go to the doctor you tell them it's a workman comp claim, they contact employer.

you have notified the company, RIGHT??

Tell the truth, "I didn't say anything negative. He went into a rage because I was injured and that's all I know."

    "How were you injured?"
"I wasn't informed I'm not allowed to sleep on the top bunk when the truck is moving."
