I-85 north at the 68 mm in SC. Local cop hiding behind the overpass.
Not one person said anything on the radio.

I was only 20 miles from the yard....bummer!

The cop cut me a break by writing it for 69 in a 60.I was going a good bit faster than that.
You know how it gets after being up all night and you get in the zone and don't realize you are running that fast?

Anyway,I wonder if i should appear on it or hire a Lawyer to see if i can keep it off my record.
I wonder if a Lawyer could get it reduced any more or should i show up in court and plead guilty and ask the Judge if there is anything i can do to keep it off my record.
Hell,i will pay triple the fine if they don't send it in to my states DMV.

I had a "must appear " speeding ticket a few years ago . I called these people . http://www.interstatetrucker.com/ . They were very upfront . The said no guarantees but they had over 90% success rate with that court . A week before the scheduled court date they called and said the charge had been reduced to faulty equipment . It cost me about $400 but I didn't have to go to court .

Check with the county or city that collects the fine and see if they have a "diversion program". You pay the fine plus and if no more tickets in 3 years, it stays off your record. May be different with the ticket in a different state then your CDL. Its worth checking in to.

Wait I know you should stay up all night some more so you are to tired to make good calls on the road!

maybe next time you are in ''the zone'' you can take out some poeple.

I got a speeding ticket too recently. The trooper told me fighting it was a waste of my money, it was coded such that it cannot be reduced or masked as something else, and cannot go to traffic school or any other diversionary program. He said "sign here, or put on these bracelets and we'll see the judge tomorrow sometime"-- this was Sunday morning.

Luckily Indiana has a sign and go policy, which carries to other states as well. I got a ticket in IL and the cop told me about this, because aparenty in IL they take your actual physical license??
