I am so new to this forum and I apologize for putting this in the wrong place !!

IF you still want to get your cdl go to a Jr college and take a certified cdl training course.
Make sure the big carriers accept said college, thats what I did over six years ago.
You will get good training at a fraction off the cost the cdl mills charge. Good luck to you.DrtyDiesel and 25(2)+2 Thank this. -
So the doctor won't sign off on prescribing you morphine? Or sign off that your knee is good to go?

Change doctors. Try a military doctor or medic/corpsman at a reserve center. You say you're retired Army/Navy at the end of you post on here. After they check you and say you're OK, wait a month, then go back and ask them to sign a release. If they do, then apply at several trucking companies, except Roehl.

Im in the same situation with roehl, I had my physical and i put on there that i had hydrocodone for my back in aug... I have an a appt with the Va here in saginaw, to get the dr to sign my releases... crossing my fingers he doesnt make me fight him. lol. anyway.. the hair test only dates back 3 months... so if you were not on it 3 months ago, and your knee is fine, i wouldnt worry about letting anyone know about it... if you do come back hot for morphine you still have a script to prove it wasnt an opiate addiction.

Oh and for schools. I went to CDI in saginaw, the gibill covered it if that helps... and i know Baker cc... has a cdl course also. CDI was a month, and baker is a full semester from what i understand, a lot classroom.

A number of people on here have gone thru community college programs and recommend them. They tend to be longer and cheaper than commercial CDL programs. I'm starting such a program on Oct 22nd. It lasts 8 weeks. The cost is around $1000.
