I'm wondering if anyone has had GPS problems the last couple days.

Mine started yesterday morning (9/11), and have continued into today.

    The problem?
    No GPS signal.

Funny thing is, it is pretty consistent between my RM510 and my Qualcom GPS.
Either they both have a signal, or both don't.
And when the QC does not have a signal the HOS e-logs don't work correctly, since it doesn't know where you are.
I've had to go to paper logs today because the QC thinks there is a sensor failure, on and off for most of the day.

Can't expect a GPS to be right all the time, especially if you have not updated the maps.

I have run into similar problems, but I believe it is because I have not paid the extra cash to update the maps after 2 years.

All in all, it does a pretty good job.
I just have to be smarter than it is.

The signal loss is an entirely different matter, which is what this topic is about.

I have never experienced a signal loss, except while going through a tunnel.
And now both my RM and QC are experiencing signal loss while in the open.

    So, why?

And I ask again, has anyone else had this problem in the past couple days?

I did a couple of days ago, signal bouncing in and out. Even the other day I was at a shipper and was told that I could not get my next route because it said that I was not on a truck route.

Yes had that problem a couple weeks back with both the qualcomm and rm gps. It was on an overnight run so I figured they were working on the satellites up there because after about 6 hours they started working again. But like I say, that was a while back, have not had any issues since.

It's interstellar interference, due to the recent departure of Voyager 1 from the solar system.

I just got concerned because my problems started 9/11.
Maybe the system is being updated, and it only effects certain areas at certain times.
I didn't have any problems a couple weeks back, it has only been the past two days.
I'll see how it goes tomorrow.

    LOL!!!

I thought of that (well, similar) as well, but there haven't been any solar eruptions that would have caused it.

I have been having trouble with mine for a couple weeks, it freezes up often, loses signal quite often even in areas I always had signal before and sometimes it will throw me "off road" when im clearly on the interstate...
it was doing it in the other truck and did it a couple times yesterday in the new truck

    Get out of Iowa, lol!

That place has dead spots all over where nothing works.
