    So they're crooks because out of a rate confirmation that says 41000lbs he only picks up 3100lbs and they hold your money because your driver
    1. left early
    2. didn't make his check call
    3. left 38000lbs of freight sitting at the dock?

    thank god I'm not a broker your trucks would never touch one of my loads. IMO and from a legality stand point. You were contracted BY LAW (yes a rate con is a legal document) to haul the 41000lbs you took a whopping 3100lbs we're not talking about 1 piece. We're talking a bout 38000lbs of frieght. They have every right to hold your pay. There are times when I hate brokers, but there are others when a carrier is sitting here complaining when they have no legitimate complain what so ever. That's just my opinion on the matter.

    And yes I do have experience with GIX. I have nothing bad to say about them, are they the best brokerage firm under the sun no I'm not. Are they two faced? No more than any other broker I've ever dealt with. Have I worked with better yes have I worked with worse? Yea TQL takes the cake there. Bottom line is you had a bad experience with them, keep in mind this wasn't their #### up though it's partially your fault you're taking no blame here what so ever. IF what GIX is saying is true (they're pretty big why do they have a reason to lie do you really think NOBODY will ever haul a load for them again based on your statement fat chance bud) then they had every right to hold your pay. Heck 3100lbs that's what maybe 3 skids 4 if you're lucky? That's all of about what .25/mile? unless it's a coast to coast trip you've got no reason to complain if they paid you anything for moving those 4 skids when it probably cost them more than what they paid you to get anohter truck no to mention the damaged reputation they have with that customer for sending an in competent truck. Think about it. I'm sensing there's more to this than what I've heard. I'd love to hear your side fully and the truth.

    Wrong! He left he when the shipper told him he was loaded, by having him sign the bills. That is when I leave too.

    Right! He should have made that call. Calling the Broker 30 times a day is obnoxious....but you GOTTA play the game.

    Wrong! The SHIPPER left 38,000 lbs. on the dock---it is THEIR job to know what goes on the trailer, and to load it.

    Drivers don't make near enough money to have to worry about doing everybody else's job or supervise other rolls in the industry. Tell me where the load is, and I'll pick it up.....if the shipper tells me I'm loaded and has me sign the bills, I am gone. Then I will deliver the darn thing. The only thing the driver is guilty of is not calling the Broker---this whole mess could have been fixed if he had; but he certainly doesn't deserve ALL the blame EVERYONE PLAYS A FREAKING ROLL.

    Here was the situation, we had the PO/Pu # that was given by broker and that was on the rate confirmation sheet. After getting loaded Shipper brought out the papers and SEAL, so there was no way to think that this would have been not fully loaded. Also Shipper used these words "Have a good trip" , so after so much giving seal,papework and using these words 'have a good trip' there was no doubt in our mind that this load was not fully loaded as GIX was stating. Then after delivering this load they didn't want to pay and claimed that load was only half , comonn

    Just to Point you out it was totally there #### up , because when we had a lawyer contact them then they couldn't come up with anything and had to give money, they just wanted someone to question them legally and didn't have no ground to hold money. As far as that shipper is not using them anymore and that'll tell you why. Yes they are big and alot of other companies who screw drivers/owner operators are big too, it doens't mean if they are big they dont' lie , infact the bigger lies more.

    Wow!!! they called me into orientation too!!!
    I have been parked out of the market lately and are very weary of all these sensors in trucks. Grand Island uses them
    and I think safety fires drivers for the "hard braking" or "excessive sway" turning....

    Its a great way to drag a guy 1000 miles from home and send them back home with a bad DAC?

    a lot of companies are using "hard stop" sensors, etc. on their trucks, its mostly because of CSA, from my experience you REALLY have to slam on your brakes to set them off..

    No you don't, I slid with an empty trailer down a hill to an intersection, fresh snow on the street, due to the ABS the computer generated no less than 10 hard braking incidents in less than half a block. It may depend on how the parameters are set up as to how touchy they are.

    I have triggered the hard stop sensors as well, when empty on wet or icy roads. I have never worried about it. No one else seems to be.

    Why didn't the shipper know how much product to load, When I was an O/O a did a couple of loads for your junky shippers out if Indiana, I was less than impressed with the customer service on your end, and the rudeness i received from the customer, needless to say I didn't haul for you anymore
