You could remove the steering block. But you had to be real gentle with the wheel afterwards.

they just retired the classic it was the only freightliner in the fleet, its for sale lol. its actually probably pretty whipped. the T660 in question is a day cab. cummings ISX with all of the emissions garbage and DPF light that comes on at random. it has been to the dealer twice. the 379 is the ONLY square nose in the fleet.

Oh. No. Daycab won't work for me. Unless the frame is long enough to support a decent sized Aerocab sleeper.

379 short hoods are city trucks. They are very maneuverable and turn pretty tight once you crush the stops in the steering box.
    They ride like #### though.
I’ve put in about a million and a half in em.

You should think about comfort if your out for along time. But if your picking up at farms you must not be out over night often. Whether it’s a 379 or a 388 I’d be more worried about what it’s got for tires. I know I go down some muddy slopes where no light truck should go. I drive a 2009 388 when I’m doing farm pick up. The thing crawls out of everything.

I just hear Charlie Sheen screaming ‘WINNING’ when I drive mine.

It’s seems to please others a lot more than the T2000 ever did.

    Just saying.

387’s and T2000’s are both uglier than sin, IMHO.

Better make sure it's ok with the boss 1st. Sometimes the shop and the boss don't see eye to eye. At my exgf's company, a new hire came in at midnight, and took the bosses PERSONAL 379, didn't think anything of it, the boss came in at 7 am, his truck was gone, and was furious. When the new guy got in, he was promptly canned.:biggrin_25513:

What happened to the ex girl? Did you take her prized ford fiesta for a stroll when she was asleep?
