I usually do as well or at least make the hand signals for "broke" then point at the building and make a swipeing credit card gesture. 9 times out of 10 they understand too.
But in that case he pulled up just as i got in the long ### line inside the loves and had to wait like 10 mins for me to get the pump turned on. To be fair every card reader was down too....so it wasnt just me doing thr card reader husstle....that said i also drive around 150-175k miles a year on average so i tend to be out further for longer then most drivers. Hell me and dad as a team were averageing 400k or so a year easy on our mail route. So a lot more chances for ####### over 20 years XD
Had a trailer come off truck do I need to tell my next employer

(I just don't count the 30 I dropped the very first month out. I thought that it was the daily "drop test", till I discovered it was actually the "tug test"..........).

hope not dumb twucker Thanks this. -
I'm going with sabotage. Pilots have cameras all over, and I bet you'll see someone had an axe to grind with Werner. With the way things are today, I bet nobody even noticed someone pulling the pin. If you made it that far, and didn't lose it, that rules out high hook, as I'm sure you turned to get into the truck stop. Unless you picked up the trailer at the Pilot, it's unlikely anything you did. Hauling rail cans, that upset a lot of folks too, and not unheard of guys losing rail cans leaving a truck stop. It's why everytime I put it in gear, I pulled the Johnny Bar, just in case. I bet you will too from now on. With their turnover, I'm sure Werner pixxed off a lot of people over the years. Not rocket science. No question, sabotage.

Bean Jr. Thanks this. -
That pic looked like it was high hooked. When he backed under trailer, the fifth wheel went all the way past the pin. Then when he pulled forward the pin was in front of the fifth wheel. Tug test would have felt like it was hooked. I've seen some go some miles like this before the trailer slid off on a turn.

Most likely they won't fire you for it. But even if they do, and you apply for another job, pull your own PSP report. You only need to list accidents showing on the PSP. Don't make the mistake I made and volunteer extra information they don't need. I told the recruiter yesterday about a fatality that happened to me in November 2021 where a woman jumped out in front of my truck. The recruiter listed it on my application then called me later to say they could not find any information about it on the PSP. She wanted a copy of the police report showing it was not my fault. I don't have a copy of the report so I called the CHP to get a copy, they don't have it because it was so long ago. Anyway, If I had kept my mouth shut, I would have a job with this company starting Monday. They are saying that if I cannot produce the documents, that they cannot hire me.
