Some places you go to you need not only a washout but sanitation. They tape a paper on the inside of the trailer and the loader takes it off when hes loading.
Dont know what kind of freight the other guy was hauling but it wasnt high value product. Thats if (and a big if) hes telling the truth.
We had a regular beef processor who wouldnt let trucks enter without a washout paper. Chicken places needed a washout plus disinfectant.

I was referring to the trailer condition after a med supply load...but you are are right ...Becton Dickinson is one of our biggest customers outbound and nothing gets dropped there before a washout .Dale thompson, Trucker61016 and mjd4277 Thank this.

Maybe Halvor has changed since I started with them in 2015...You have options to fuel, MY miles are good, I am home every week, and hit all the bonuses. Basically...I run hard, not picky where I go, and don't wreck anything. I talk to my dispatcher once a week, usually at the end of the week to let him know if I want to turn and burn or take a couple days. I do a mixture of both depending on the "honey do" list, but always go home under dispatch so I can plan the start to the following week.
Down side...Yeah 65 sucks!!! Zip to Zip pay, but we can run the big roads even if it adds miles to the trip. On a 3000 mile week I may have 3150 or so on the Odometer.
Then again I used to drive for Monson Trucking in a International Cabover that was governed at 61!!LOLBro_Dave, Need4Speed, Trucker61016 and 1 other person Thank this. -
I was part of the elite fleet for quite a few years. Lol. Honk honk.

I don’t either. Sometimes I look at an old cab over and think how “cool” they are. Then I remember bouncing up and down Hwy 61 going to Thunder Bay and how everything hurt by the end of the week. Lol. Trucks are so much better now.Last edited: Oct 19, 2020

I remember running 35-40 mph from Grand Marias to the boarder because it was so fricking rough!! If I remember correctly we even broke a few frames one year and they turned to shore guys down to 55.
You must have been there the same time I was...It looks like you had one of the last cabovers. -
I was there from 1991 to 2007. I had a couple of those darn cabovers. I was on the shore when Mark turned them down. If I remember right it was 50mph. Lol. I do remember that we couldn’t even run in 9th. RPMs were to high in 8th and to low in 9th. It sucked.
I was so excited when we got our hoods. I remember thinking how big the sleepers were. Lol.
I drive for Evans and I go to Canada all the time. It’s still pretty crappy north of Grand Marais but they are doing a bunch of work up there this year. Gonna be pretty awesome.
My handle was “Lost and Found” Eric Lindeau. I’m sure I knew ya! Small world. Lol. Have a great weekend.drh72 Thanks this. -
