    Hey Bud -

    Back at cha!

    Training starts Monday at 0730. Physical, Whiz Quiz, and paperwork. Been reading and re-reading the CDL manual so I can know as much as possible before I get to class. I believe that we will be going for the CDL permit on Thursday. Linda is going to hang back and let me get things going. It's going to be rather hard to hook up with a company that is going to let her and Scooter ride along. Plus, the more we looked at it, it made sense for me to go out and learn the ropes, THEN get her onboard with her CDL and then go from there. So that is the plan....

    Anyway, hope all went well with your holidays, and this finds you and yours doing well.

    hey scooterdawg,

    hope everything is working out well for you, and that the training is getting easier for you. Have you decide on what company you are going with yet, any of them made contact yet? Got a call from my case manager today saying that my application was approved for funding in school.

    Only took 4 1/2 months but you know my thought no money 4600 dollars coming out of my pocket, so i have no ties to any company and don't have to worry about paying them if don't stay. Seen to many people screwed over by these parasite mill company, the way that they promise everything to get you in the door, and treat you like crap, and their only response is don't like it quit, and you still owe us.

    Well hope everything is fine with you and yours, looking forward to talking with you soon, hope the weather is a little better there then here. Good luck.

    Good for you! I pretty much decided to go that route too so I would not "owe" anyone anything. In the long run, I think it is best. Good to hear you are moving forward.

    As far as a decision on a company..... nope, not yet. I have a few preferences...... Maverick, TMC, Conway, KLLM, and a couple other "Plan B" companies, but no decisions right now. I still have another week or so before I need to get serious.

    As far as school.... started yesterday. Started another thread as to not pollute this one. You can get it here
