Obviously the Dispatcher, maybe the Company itself doesn’t have any respect for you. I’m guessing you’re female. He’s probably treating you the same way he treated his ex-wives. He’s got issues for sure. Quit, try to get all you’re pay first. Even if you have to take extra hometime to get your last check. Something tells me they’ll try to not pay you. At this point you owe them nothing.
Has your Dispatcher ever written you up for using the restroom?

Here’s a little tip I’ve learned in life.
If you let it start, it’s difficult to get it stopped.
You’ll either have to stand on your legs and tell them to either grow up, you know how to do your job and don’t need someone holding your hand while you go to bathroom.
Or find a new job.
Or just deal with bit, it won’t get any better.Another Canadian driver, merv85, Cowboyrich and 4 others Thank this. -
@bigrigbuttercup--GREAT NEWS!!!
It's simply FAR too much of a "driver's market" out there now.....to tolerate such bullying, coercion, and disrespect.
I experienced similar (although different)....at a previous employer.
This begged the question--just how fast can I get out of here (the thinking then was "life is just too short and precious for this abuse")?
Long story, short: I have since switched carriers--and also freight types.
I'm treated MUCH BETTER now.
If I can do it--hey, you can, too!!!
One of the many cool things about trucking is that there is sooooooooo much opportunity out there--to put up with a constant bad experience, here.

ummmmmmm, no...
I have never worked for any company that babysits, micro manages, or any mega fleet... I don't know how you people do it I wouldn't last a week in that kind of atmosphere.Another Canadian driver, Hammer166, D.Tibbitt and 5 others Thank this. -
If the dispatcher ever treated me as you described and assuming you’re not exaggerating or leaving some details out, I might be inclined to say “meet me out in the parking lot buddy”. And end it in style. I’m all about respect in this industry and I give everybody full absolute respect until they give me a reason otherwise. And that would definitely be an otherwise reason.
You either standup for yourself in this industry or you get stepped on. Always blame the driver is often The default go to amongst trucking companies. And they will do it and get away with it as long as you let them.
In your case, I’d hit the door so fast they wouldn’t see me going.Another Canadian driver, D.Tibbitt, TheLoadOut and 1 other person Thank this. -
If did yell at me I'd be out of jail before he's out of the hospital.

Can't say that I have. I did get laughed at once because I developed a bad case of the runs and did not want to leave a rest area until the meds I took for it took effect. <<Honest story! On a more serious note, all my life if I was in the wrong I would take correction if it was deserved. The last person to yell at me was one of my Basic Training Sgts. Scream at me and I would have tossed my truck keys at you!

Update:
I am going to talk to them in person, at the yard. I will let HR & safety know about this as well while I am there. I will get everything in text/writing via PeopleNet going forward.
As for those saying diaper, yes I have tried it in emergencies (ex.: shipper not having restrooms), but I realistically can't see myself doing it on a normal and/or everyday basis, especially while driving. That and my company frowns upon nasty dashes/piss bottles/dirty looking trucks in general.
More about me / my company:
I worked for CREngland for over 2 years. I got my schooling through them, and had flatbed + hazmat endorsement w/ them. I just wasn't getting good miles anymore.
With my current employer (Freymiller, about 5 months) I haven't seen too many bad things about them on here, or other places online. Maybe a few things about them bad mouthing mega carriers/pushing going to church more often; but, the recruiter and I really hit it off and he worked with me on orientation / transportation when I was still working & leaving (CREngland).I definitely need to do more research on the next place I work though.
My DM & everyone else I've interacted w/ here has been courteous and professional. This specific dispatcher is a new hire, so I am hoping that maybe my company does not know (and will work to either resolve the issue or punish/fire him). I have had issues with him giving me bad loads / crazy tight deadlines before (as I suspected maybe he just transferred from a mega corporation), but never something like this. I'm hoping to approach this situation professionally; if not to fix the issue here, then to look good going forward to other employment opportunities.
As always, thanks everyone for your helpful comments & advice.Another Canadian driver, Hammer166, homeskillet and 4 others Thank this.
