or I should say, have a plan "b", you know, volatility of the place and all...

 

It's been said before but bears repeating: a bad FM can absolutely kill any incentive you may have to keep working here, whereas a decent FM can actually make life here a little (or, in some cases, a lot) more bearable. Fortunately, I was assigned to a FM who's actually a decent human being; he definitely keeps the miles coming.

BTW, for anyone who caught the QC message announcing the new terminal in Hotlanta: be advised that the address is correct but the directions are dead wrong. If you follow the directions you will most likely end up a few miles away in downtown Atlanta (along with a $500 ticket if Johnny Law catches your semi anywhere inside the I-285 beltway). I told the terminal manager today (seemed like an nice guy), nd he says he's going to make sure that everyone gets the revised directions.

 

Agreed about the FM, I am ashamed to say it but I have been a bit to much abusive toward mine the last 2 weeks. I plan to see if I can buy his lunch one day if I ever get to Van Buren just as a thank you as well as a much needed apology. This abuse was not directed at him but through him to both his supervisor as well as the LC's. When you spend more time either in a hotel or terminal because of a breakdown and don't see any money as has happened to me, it will cause you do develop a very fuse. The LC's at USA Truck are still on my %$$#@ list. They will not do their job, they still send out loads with limited or no information on them. This is unacceptable and the new director of operations needs to place his foot in some LC's backsides.

 

The revised directions (second QC message) is wrong too? The one that gives directions off of I-285?

The first set of directions remind me of the directions they gave me to coca-cola lol... Said go down I-75 and take city streets... when you take I-20W to the first exit outside of the loop. Which is why I always use google maps

 

Glad your getting a new person. However, what about holding the other guy accountable for not doing their job? The would hold us accountable of we delivered freight like that.

 

I like the look of your prostars with no skirting. Thats what a tractor should look like.

 

I've only seen one prostar with white bumper/skirting. Looked awesome! lol

I like the look of my prostar too... with the gray bumper and gray skirting, but I still like the white better. I'd rather have a pete or KW though
