Slow and steady does it. Allow more space to stop. Don't drop one set of wheels onto soft or low shoulder the rollover risk is too high. Fully pretrip all your wagons and dollies. Lots of crappy stuff out here. Hooking solo in the ice can be a drag when you have to manhandle the dollies.

    But y'know. It's a job. :) good luck.

this depends on the length of the trailers. if double 48 footers, you will be on the highway's only, going from one drop yard to another. if the smaller double's, known as pups, you can take them onto city streets.

if the triple trailers, and pups at that, we do not have them here, but i'd have to only venture to guess you stay on the highway till you get to a drop yard. all drop yards for the long combos are easy off, easy on the highways. here in Mass, we use the toll plazas that have the drop yards for the long 48 foot doubles.

you may not necessarily get paid "double" either. so pay attention to what the employer says is the pay rate for them. in the end, for what i got paid, gimme a dam 53 footer in downtown Boston any day, over pups....

I pulled a-trains for years, and it pays more than singles for sure. I used to get a little over 450 a load for a 650 mile round trip. Sadly it's no longer available.

Don't look back...and by that I mean if you look back and see the back pup wiggling, the reflex is to correct your steering, but the slight delay in reaction time only exacerbates ths wiggle and pretty soon the tail is wagging the dog. And then you wind up in the accidents section of TTF.
